Camlica Tower, also known as Camlica TV and Radio Tower, is a prominent landmark located in Istanbul, Turkey. The tower stands at an impressive height of 369 meters, making it the tallest structure in Istanbul and one of the tallest towers in the world. Camlica Tower was built with the primary purpose of improving the television and radio broadcasting capabilities in Istanbul. The construction of the tower began in 2012 and it was opened to the public in 2019. In addition to its broadcasting functions, Camlica Tower also serves as a popular tourist attraction, offering panoramic views of Istanbul's beautiful skyline from its observation deck, as well as a restaurant and a cafe. An audio guide is included and available in 25 languages: English, German, Russian, Persian, Arabic, French, Italian, Chinese, Dutch, Spanish, Hindi, Romanian, Ukrainian, Korean, Turkish, Bulgarian, Polish, Swedish, Japanese, Indonesian, Greek, Hungarian, Portuguese, Urdu, and Croatian.

We walked through the park to the tower. We bought tickets on site, went to the observation deck, then up a level to lunch! No hassle and no wait. Lunch was reasonably priced. Service was good. We had a nice afternoon watching the constant weather changes….sun, rain, snow, clouds and got a clear view of the sunset! It’s a haul to get there from Sultanahmet but worth it. Take public transportation to save on high taxi or uber fees.

Great panoramic view from tower. Interesting learning about tower history and its significance. Would recommend taking this tour.
