The camel ride was great fun. Sayed, our guide, was full of interesting information and took lots of pictures for us. However, it was also not the only part of the outing. Although not advertised, he also took us to the Egypt Papyrus Museum and the Sultan’s Flowers Extracts Palace (perfumery). The Papyrus Museum was very nice and we bought a small piece as a souvenir. The perfumery was a tourist trap with overpriced goods. However, we had a great time and bought a couple small items anyway. We got a moderate amount of pressure to buy so it might be difficult to say “no” once they get into their spiel. Don’t be afraid to decline one or both of these extras.
