I was contacted by Emo tours after booking for pick-up/drop-off and meal planning. Very professional. Hotel pick up was on time in an air conditioned car. Driver Mohammed and guide Yara were amazing, super friendly and helped the kids be at ease and enjoy this experience. They also arrange for all sorts of tours in other parts of Egypt. The felluca ride is worth it. Yara made sure that everyone was comfortable, having a good time, and well-informed about the history surrounding us. She also gave us tips on other spots to visit and things to do. Service was great and the two-hour duration is just enough to enjoy the ride as well as the meal. Overall it was a great experience. Make sure to count for mosquitoes though.

trip was not by felucca, but by motor barge - apparently because there being not sufficient wind. just went up the river for about 20 mins then back again - marvelous. best part was when we 'docked' as when i was disembarking due to the movement of barge i fell into the effing water. must admit all the people around help i.e. got me out, dried me off and gave me some clothes to wear and a cup of tea and were genuinely concerned and sorry for the whole incident. having said that my mobile phone which was in my jacket pocket is now KAPUT, so all in all an expensive non trip and to add to that i lost all my photos/videos on said device.
