Begin your full-day adventures with the obvious choice: the Acropolis Hill. Let your guide show you the way up the sacred rock, as they explain the history behind the Acropolis' impressive monuments, including the Parthenon, the Temple of Nike, the Propylaea and the Erechtheion, and narrate myths of the past.
Following your visit to the Acropolis Hill, you will walk the short distance to the modern Acropolis Museum. The impressive museum's halls host exhibits and artifacts nearly 3.000 years old, leaving its visitors in awe. With your licensed guide by your side, you will learn everything about the customs and daily life of the ancient Greeks, while marveling at the impressive thousand-year-old creations.
After the Acropolis museum, you'll stroll around the picturesque neighborhood of Plaka in order to admire its emblematic neoclassical buildings and monuments such as the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates! The old-time charm and relaxed vibe of the region will surely make Plaka one of your favorite spots of Athens!
After Plaka, you will have the opportunity to admire Roman Agora from the outside, built between 19 and 11 B.C. with a donation of Julius Caesar and Augustus.
Descend the streets of Athens and reach the electrifying Monastiraki Square, popular for its historic monuments and diverse flea market. Watch the 18th and 19th century Athens unfold before your eyes and admire the Tzistarakis mosque, Hadrian's library, and the Pantanassa church; all significant parts of Athens' heritage.
Your walk will continue onto Syntagma square, where you can gaze at the Greek parliament and the famous fountain that decorates its center. If you're lucky, you may also catch the changing of the presidential guards, which are called 'Evzones' and are dressed in the traditional Greek uniform, that takes place every hour!
Escaping the concrete jungle, next, you will walk to the National Garden of Greece, right next to the Greek Parliament, where you will have the chance to breathe in the scent of the hundreds of plant species.
Walk towards the Panathenaic Stadium, where the 1st modern Olympic Games took place!
Your tour will come to an end once you turn your eyes towards the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the colossal temple at the center of the Greek capital, dedicated to the father of gods!

We had a perfect day with our guide Danae and our driver in the afternoon Kostas. Danae guided us up to the Acropolis in the morning and explained us everything with her profound archeological and history knowledge. We skipped (from the beginning) the Akropolis Museum (did it next day on our own) and visited Plaka by foot. A good lunch in a nice restaurant chosen by Danae was followed by the City Tour with a lot to see and excellent explanations.

This was a highly informative, in depth tour of the Parthenon, Acropolis and the museum. Elias was a walking encyclopedia. He clearly has a passion for the topics he covered and extensive training. We learned so much from our time on the tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do more than just look at some monuments and move on!

We had a wonderful experience with Greeking.me and especially loved the Athens portion of our tour. The museum tour was a standout — rich in history and perfectly paced — and our guide Jason was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire experience enjoyable and informative. Our only complaint is that, due to having a slower-moving group, the city driving tour portion was cut quite short and we didn’t get to see as much of Athens as we’d hoped. That said, the company handled the situation very professionally and made it right with us, which speaks volumes about their reliability and customer service. I would definitely recommend Greeking.me, but I also suggest discussing timing and any necessary adjustments with your tour guide ahead of time to ensure you get the full 7-hour experience that works for your group’s pace.

Our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 college kids and 1 high school kid) took the 7 hour priate tour in june 2025. Our tour guide was really nice, and we're really glad we got to see the acropolis and museum. But the 7 hour tour was probably too long for us, and the information learned from the guide was ok, not great -the storytelling / detail was kind of boring. In retrospect, we probably should have joi we didn't feel we learned anything more interesting or personalized than we would have gotten from a larger tour, and we didn't love the things we did outside of the the acropolis / museum.

Our guide, Demetrius, packed a mass of facts into a fascinating and entertaining few hours at the Acropolis and museum. We had the sense that there wasn't a question we could ask that he couldn't answer, with easy-to-absorb and surprising details. He's an archaeologist who actually worked on the site, and his dedication to its preservation was impressive. The experience couldn't have been as memorable and meaningful as it was for us without him. And you don't have to take selfies -- Demetrius is a great photographer.
