Visit the cave and the museum of Theopetra. The cave has been occupied by human beings as early as 130,000 years ago. In addition, evidence for human habitation in the Theopetra Cave can be traced without interruption from the Middle Paleolithic to the end of the Neolithic period.
HOLY MONASTERY OF GREAT METEORON the biggest and the most famous.
The monastery with best views.
Stops to the best points for photos with breath taking views of all the monasteries.
Visiting the Nunnery of St. Stephen was one of the highlights of my trip to Meteora. Among all the monasteries perched atop the towering rock formations, this one is by far the most accessible. In case guests mobility concerns or difficulties.
Lunch in a traditional family restaurant.
