Itinerary
After meeting with a member of the Be a Greek team outside the Panepistimio Metro Station, you will enjoy a 4h long walking tour in the most alternative and authentic neighbourhoods of Athens, during which you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the Athenian Street Art scene.
We will begin from Exarchia, a well-known neighbourhood for its artistic and student aura. Exclusive street artists such as WD, STMTS, Sonke and iNO have given a special touch to the urban landscape, highlighting this neighbourhood and making it famous all around the world. In Exarchia we will also have the opportunity to relax while enjoying our coffee in a local cafe, decorated with unique anamorphic graffiti.
Continuing we will find ourselves in Psyrri, discovering both its touristic and its alternative character, while admiring some of the most famous and beautiful works of art such as the famous dog Loukanikos (Sausage in Greek), which testify to the socio-political situation of our country. In this part of the walk, we will have the opportunity to talk, among other things, about the amazing artist Achilles and get to know some of his unique works.
Leaving behind Psyrri, we will pass by the Kerameikos pedestrian area, admiring the contrast between the ancient exhibits of Kerameikos and the contemporary artworks of the area. After a few minutes we will reach one of the highlights of our Tour, the enormous DaVinci murals created by the hands of iNO, undoubtedly an exquisite example of the Athenian Street Art. Arriving at Kerameikos Metro Station our tour will come to an end, having enjoyed a day full of pictures and an amazing experience.

Bianca is top notch! Professional, knowledgeable, knows her way around the various neighborhoods, spoke about art, culture, philosophy, mythology, religion; she is a walking encyclopedia. Details , insight, depth, for those seeking to truly Be a Greek. I am Greek and I learned more about my city historically and in present times than I could have known if I had read one hundred books. Within the “art walk” she gives you the meat of what it means to be an Athenian, both in past history and recent history. We will never forget her knowledge and passion for her work, and we will definitely keep in touch so that we can utilize her services again. Bianca is worth five times her weight in gold! Priceless adventure. Many many layers of exploration! Truly a unique experience we will never forget. A true eye opener. Thank you Bianca ! You are the best!
Bianca gave an amazing tour of Athens and its vibrant street art. We saw some very interesting and evocative art produced by a collection of passionate artists. The tour was enhanced by Bianca’s knowledge of how local social and political issues drove much of the art. She was also friendly, upbeat and spoke fluent English.
I had a wonderful tour with Bianca! She is the best guide for the street art scene. Her heartfelt way of telling the story of Athens and the artists was just interesting and captivating. I recommend the tour to anyone who also wants to see the other side of Athens. We definitely had a lot of fun together. ❤️
Again the Street Art Tour together with Bianca was a great experience. It is definitelly the best way to see a different part of Athens apart from the ancient sights. It is 100% recommended.
It felt like we got a behind the scene tour of Athens! Without this tour we feel that we would have left Athens not truly understating the full and true landscape and culture of Athens. It would be near impossible to truly understand and appreciate the amazing street art of Athens without the spectacular storytelling from Bianca. This tour was the icing on the cake of our trip to Athens. It’s a must do!
Bianca from "Be a Greek" is truly the best guide you can imagine for the graffitti / street art tour. She is really passionate about the subject and can teach you all about the artists and artworks. In addition, she was very good at telling about the recent history of Athens and relating events related to the districts of Exarchia and Psyrri. The tour is 150% recommended and I would book another tour with Bianca at any time.
I was looking to see some special after visiting the classic Athenian sites. This walking tour was outstanding. As a photographer, I knew this tour would give me great opportunities but it was much more than that. Bianca was my guide and was exceptionally well versed in this subject. She had a deep understanding of who the artists are and what the artists are trying to convey. Bianca made this tour very special for me. If you want to see another side of Athens, I would encourage you to take this tour.
Super informative stroll through Athens. I loved ever minute and Bianca was an excellent host. I will come back
My husband and I had a most interesting day walking and talking w/ our guide Antonis. We saw fabulous examples of the artists making mostly social commentary on what is happening in Greece today. We had discussions of what life is like in Greece and what are the social issues facing the Greeks. We enjoyed learning about the current day society and how history is still influencing it. If you want to know about Greece today go to where the people live and express themselves. A very well spent day!
Dear fallbrookfarmer, thank you so much for your kind words! We are really glad that you enjoyed out Street Art Tour so much! We hope to have you back in Greece soon!
