DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! While on a cruise with my family, only 3 days prior to our tour date they cancelled our reservation by email stating "full capacity" despite the fact that I had paid for this one month prior. We only had 2 days in Rome and if I hadn't found another tour company who had last minute availability we would have missed the opportunity to share this experience with our kids. Horrible business! Don't take the chance of having your vacation ruined.
Crown Tours cancelled our tour. Very disappointed.☹️
Accurate directions to find the check in area, however it was very Crowded and unorganized. The instructions were unclear on where and when to approach the entry gate. The entry process and expectations of the tour should have been explained better. The app provided was useful.
Very confusing to find the “office” in a very crowded venue. When we got there, they could not find our reservation with the electronic ticket/bar code we were given. Make sure you go plenty early, as this process seemed very off the beaten track and more complicated than it needed to be. Once we had our printed paper with a QR code, we were able to find our way and the audio tour was great. We were there late October and it was very busy. Can’t imagine going during high season! Still, it is a “must see”. Fascinating.
You need earphones for the self guided tour as you have the option to download the app to take you through. Very busy!
One should definitely have seen the Colesseum once. Some waiting time should be taken into account, as many people want to see it. Furthermore, I would recommend an audio guide where you can set the tempo yourself and watch a lot in peace.
