Good briefing and then a nice dive with Dimitris. Everything worked great, on short notice booking. Book gladly again.
Thank you very much for your feedback! I’m really glad you enjoyed the dive. You’re always welcome to come back! Kind regards, Dimitris
Very nice guide/team and everything well organized. Communication in English and French easily possible. Gutes Equipment vorhanden. Always happy to.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're happy to hear you enjoyed diving with us and appreciated the organization and equipment. It was a pleasure to meet you — you’re always welcome to dive with us again! Kind regards, Dimitri
Best diving I’ve ever done. Instructor was incredible and the shore dive was to die for. It ended up just being me and him on the dive and we saw 2 octopi, sea urchins, many fish, and more. Incredible visibility, hidden gem.
Thank you very much for your kind words! I’m so happy you enjoyed the dive and spotted so many amazing creatures. It was great to share this hidden gem with you — hope to dive together again soon! Kind regards, Dimitris
A serious, professional and attentive club. A very pleasant experience, thank you very much for this moment and discoveries made. We very much appreciated the welcome of our instructor! Thanks again. You can go there with confidence. A little extra for the French because the club director speaks French.
Merci beaucoup pour votre gentil commentaire ! Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié votre expérience et l’accueil de notre instructeur. Au plaisir de vous revoir bientôt pour une nouvelle plongée ! Bien cordialement, Dimitris
This was a wonderful experience, with an excellent Dive instructor. The water had great visibility and I highly recommend.
I am very happy you liked the dive. Thank you very much.
That was literally the best dive for me so far. Dimitrij was really helpfull and caring. I felt safe and I enjoyed it a lot!
Our Dive Instructor Dmitris is professional, courteous, patient, very generous, and knowledgeable of the terrain and village of Marathons and Nea Makris. He took my wife and I on shoredive (s), showed us wildlife and will email us gopro videos from our dives. The Kanelakis Dive shop is very well decorated and well equipped with clean and efficient dive gear. Cressi bcd, regulators, and wetsuits. We came from Attika region of Greek which was 45 minutes away. Due to traffic and delayed transportation time, Dmitris was kind enough to let us stay in his shop while offering us water and snacks to keep us sustained.
My son and I went diving with Dimitris on our vacation in August 2023. We did 2 shore dives. Equipment was good. The dive center was at Dimitris' house, small, but everything was OK. Pick-up worked very well. It was a very pleasant atmosphere, it was fun to dive again. There weren't many fish to see on our two dives, but that's just how it is in the Mediterranean. The entry into the water was a bit steeper and rocky, but OK, boat dives weren't possible either due to the wind. Not a difficult dive even for beginners. All in all, it was fun. I would do it again. Best regards, Stefan
I had a fantastic sore diving experience at the beautiful area of Dikastika. Dimitris is a very knowledgable instructor, he pays great attention to safety and really cares about you having a great time and appreciate the beauty of the sea. I do not dive very often but I felt very confident with Dimitris's guidance. I would strongly recommend this experience if you are on holiday near Nea Makri.
Dimitris was very helpful and knowledgeable. For context, I haven't dived for a few years and have a relatively unused advanced open water cert. Dimitris was great at helping me refresh my knowledge and theoretical foundation. He provided all the equipment we needed, as well as transportation between the Nea Makri bus station, dive shop, and dive site. Despite conditions being somewhat adverse, he used his knowledge of local topography to find a launch point for our shore dive that was sheltered from wind and waves, and we had a terrific time. We were able to see a decent variety of sea life during both of our dives, and I had a great time relearning buoyancy control, technical aspects of the equipment, and how to swim with fins. I had decent oxygen conservation (obviously his is much better), and to his credit Dimitris didn't end the dive early to meet a timetable. He instead continued guiding me until my air reached the threshold we'd agreed on before starting our return. Dimitris' dives are priced *very* affordably, and I thoroughly recommend the experience. I'd like to do a deep dive off a boat with him if I'm in Athens again. Compared to other diving options in Athens, the only potentially dissuading factor is getting to Dimitris' dive shop from Athens. It's quite easy, however. You catch the metro to Nomismatokopia (~10 minutes from Acropolis), and from there you catch the KTEL bus to Nea Makri (~45 minutes with traffic). In total, the one-way trip costs ~$4.50.
