Description
Mount Kenya is Africa’s second-highest mountain at 5,199m (17,058 feet) and the highest of all Kenya Mountains. Mount Kenya is roughly circular, about 60km across at the 200mm contour, where the steep font hills rise out of the gentler slopes of the centered highlands. At the center of the massif, the main peaks rise sharply from around 4,500m to the main summit of Batian 5,199m, Nelion 5,188m, and point Lenana 4,985m. Other major summits on the mountain include Point Piggott 4,957m, Point Dutton 4,885, and Point John 4,883m. Of the three main peaks (Batian, Lenana, and Nelion), point Lenana can be reached by climb Mount Kenya trekkers and the other two being only for technical climbers.

Welcome to Nairobi! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) or from your hotel, you will be met by our airport guest relations' officer in a private car and transferred to our departure area along Muindi Mbingu Street, Nairobi. where you will meet our Guider for the Mountain Trekking with other tourists from other countries joining the Trekking, at our departure zone.

Outstanding 10 Days Kenya Safari We have just arrived back from a 9-night 10-day safari organised by Grayton Expeditions and have to say the logistical organisation was outstanding from the moment we got off the plane until we got back on it to return home. We stayed at three different lodges which were all equally amazing in their own right and each offered a different safari experience. The accommodation, service and food at each lodge was fantastic but the game drives took this to a different level altogether. I would normally thoroughly research everything before making my decision but in this case, Sandra & the team were spot-on with their program. We have some amazing experiences/memories and fantastic photos. We have no hesitation in recommending Grayton Expeditions and cannot wait to suggest to friends and family to plan their next safari with Sandra and the team next year!
