Yanagibashi (The Secret Gateway to Edo) Our journey begins at Yanagibashi, a historic rivergate where the Kanda and Sumida rivers meet. Once a glamorous and exclusive district, this area holds the secrets of how Tokyo's early water transport system shaped its culture and nightlife. We will set the stage for the tour right here, stepping back into the shadows of old Edo.
Ryogoku (Sumo Legends & Urban Rebirth) Next, we pedal over to Ryogoku, the heart of Sumo culture. But there is more to this district than giant wrestlers. We will uncover how an ancient sport tied to sacred rituals found its permanent home here, and how a devastating historic disaster completely reshaped Tokyo's urban map and bridge architecture.
Asakusa (The Timeless Gateway) Riding along the riverfront, we’ll pass striking modern landmarks before catching a glimpse of Kaminarimon, the majestic gate of Tokyo’s oldest temple hub. We will introduce you to the spirit of this bustling area and give you the perfect insider layout, so you can easily return later to explore its deep alleyways at your own pace.
Ueno (The Shogun’s Guardian Forest) We’ll cool down by cycling through the lush, grand greenery of Ueno Park. Today it is a peaceful public park, but it hides a dramatic past. Discover why the Shogunate originally chose this exact hill, how it served to protect the city from evil spirits, and how it transformed during Japan's rapid modernization.
Akihabara (The Master of Evolution) Our final stop is Akihabara, a neon-lit district famous worldwide for anime and subculture. But how did it get here? We will trace its fascinating evolution from a post-war black market for radio parts into the "Electric Town" we see today. It’s a perfect masterclass in Tokyo’s unique ability to constantly reinvent itself.
After Akihabara, we will pedal back to our shop in Yanagibashi to wrap up the tour. But your journey doesn't have to end there! You can unwind and process the day's discoveries at the vegan cafe located right inside our building, or take a relaxed stroll around Yanagibashi's charming, historic backstreets to soak in the local atmosphere at your own pace.

Seriously, this bike tour of the Kyoto countryside was incredible! The scenery was totally fantastic—such a gorgeous break from the city. But the real star was our guide, Yuki. Yuki was absolutely amazing, not only keeping us super safe and making sure we stayed on the right track, but also giving us cool info about everything we were seeing. If you book one tour in Kyoto, make it this one! Riding through the countryside was so relaxing, and the stop at the 7 Lucky Gods temple was a hidden gem we never would have found on our own. I enjoyed the country side views with the interesting local history. The ride was greatly helped by the battery powered bike (hills!). Collect all chops to complete your visit to Kameoka! My guide was a local who was friendly and engaging! He showed curiosity and exchanged ideas on culture with me.

I just finished a ride with Yuki through the back roads and temples around Kameoka. We visited 7 temples (one for each of the good luck gods), and saw amazing scenery. Any other tour leader would have canceled because of the rain, but Yuki was prepared and eager to dive into the raindrops with me.

Yuki San did an incredible tour! We biked on the country area and the road less traveled. He explained the culture of Kameoka, its local history and went to visit 7 shrines/temples to get the blessings from their deities. He was also very good in answering my questions and made the tour a very pleasant experience. It didnt felt tiring and was an easy rise bike all the way. He went above and beyond in helping me get my goushin for the temples. Its a tour I would highly recommend to escape the hustle of the cities and really see the country side of japan.

This was for real the best tour I've ever had. It was just the two of us and we really got to see both kyoto in a different way. Yuki has a great perspnality and loves to intro people to his hometown. Such a welcoming and practical guide. His English is near native. Super friendly and fu. To be around. We even decided to do a second tour with him the next day. Defienetly the best way to get to know kyoto!!

Yuki is born and raised in the area and speaks fluent English. The tour was the perfect blend of exercise, nature and seeing historic temples where there are ZERO crowds. If you want to explore the Japanese country side and get out in nature, this is a must do.

This was my first visit to Kameoka. I am involved in the management of this tour with this tour guide Yuki. This time I experienced a full-fledged cycling tour of Kameoka! I came as a guest and it was a great tour. You can feel the magnificence of "Kyoto in the forest" and the agricultural culture of Kyoto, and you can experience Kyoto which is not a tourist destination in the morning feeling relaxed. If you are visiting from overseas, I recommend you to try something like this Kameoka tour instead of Kyoto full of crowds! The concept of visiting the temples of Kameoka's "Seven Lucky Gods" was also very good. You'll come across a lot of narrow roads that can't be passed by car! It was easy to drive as there were almost no people or cars passing through, so I could experience the tour with peace of mind!
