The tour was fun starting in Marrakech, then driving through Atlas, Kazba ( where Gladiator was filmed, Canyon etc before reaching Merzouga. Our driver (Mimon) and guide ( Hassan) were very kind, friendly and helpful. However , our stay at the supposedly luxury tent was a bit problematic. The tent was extremely hot from the moment we arrived and remained unbearably hot throughout the night. While the tent had windows, they had to remain closed because there were no insect screens, so opening them would let bugs inside. With no proper ventilation or cooling, the heat became unbearable, and we ended up sleeping outside the tent because it was impossible to sleep inside ( its like being in a hot oven! ) But then we suffered from being feasted by hundreds of mosquitoes outside on the lounge chair! On top of that, the shower was broken and the drain was clogged, causing water to pool while showering. These are basic maintenance issues that should not be present in accommodation marketed as “luxury.” The location and concept are beautiful, but the lack of ventilation and poor maintenance significantly impacted our experience. We hope these issues are addressed for future guests. Because otherwise, the overall concept looked beautiful and everybody was so kind and helpful. And the whole tour experience was really fun! Wish we had more time on the ATV quad!
The hospitality at the camp was exceptional. Ismael, Khaled, and the entire team were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and accommodating, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The camp’s views were breathtaking, and the overall setup and arrangements were perfect, creating a truly memorable experience. One area that could be improved is the shower and toilet facilities. They would need an upgrade & renovation, more frequent cleaning, unclogging of drains, and better water flow. Upgrading the showerheads and improving the drainage system would greatly enhance guests’ comfort. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and with a few improvements to the bathroom facilities, the experience would be even better. ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
Everything was perfectly organized. Punctual pickup at the agreed location, our guide Hassan had my phone number. Questions in advance were answered promptly. The guide and driver are true language geniuses. Fluent in English and Spanish, and have a little joke ready in every European language. At the sights and also during the drive, we always received good explanations, and our guide was perfectly knowledgeable everywhere. Those who ask and are interested gain insights into culture and politics. The highlight was definitely the desert night in Merzouga with fire and drums and the breathtaking starry sky. For an additional €50, we rode back to Merzouga on a quad from the desert camp for two.
Hassan (from the Camp), Mimun and Hassan (the tour guides) for the 3 days were very friendly and organised throughout the whole trip, making sure that everybody was enjoying it and having a good time, even facilitating and finding alternative solutions when unexpected issues happened, making it easier for the travelers to have a smooth and uncomplicated stay. All rooms were clean and Comfortably, including the tent and the food was really good. Definitely worth booking 😊👍🏻
Amazing experience traveling to the Sahara, the camel ride is a once in a lifetime experience. Loved playing the bongos with the hosts around the campfire at night as well! The road tripping portion is not for the faint of heart, and in the heat of summer the vehicle’s AC may not be sufficient. But if you can handle heat then it is no problem.
Kindest staff everyone was so hospitable and friendly. The bus ride was quite long but still worth the experience and memories. June can be hot so try to visit when the weather is milder. Very good price.
Had such a great time - this was both a bucket list and cultural experience! The camels were an experience, the guides were very friendly, and got exposure to Saharan life! The drive is very long, but worth it!
The tour was perfect! Everything was super well organized and far exceeded our expectations! Our guide Ismail was very nice and always very dedicated! He could always answer all questions and knew great viewpoints. Both the first accommodation for the first overnight stay and the camp were beautiful and well-equipped. The stops for food and drinks were also very well coordinated and very delicious. In the three days, we saw and experienced a lot, from the UNESCO World Heritage to riding on dromedaries to drum music by the campfire under the starry sky. We gladly recommend the tour, as it is an unforgettable experience!
The entire trip was a lived dream. We made several stops in very beautiful cities and at unique viewpoints. Our guide Ismail could answer every question and always told us something nice. I would do the tour again anytime and recommend it to everyone.
Awesome time great bang for your buck
