We enjoyed a wonderful safari traveling through Kenya and Tanzania! The guides, Simon and John were wonderful and the accommodations were spectacular! We saw soo many animals including the "Big 5" on the 1st full morning game drive! I was a bit concerned about safety in the tented camps prior to arriving and once there I felt very safe. It's amazing how close the vehicles can get to animals on game drives and most animals ignore them. The roads in the parks are rough, a "free African massage". And the highway driving is overwhelming. The guides are pros at driving, finding animals, answering questions and are very considerate and patient. We would highly recommend!
Jambo Linda, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are absolutely delighted to hear that you had such an incredible safari experience across Kenya and Tanzania. Seeing the Big Five on your very first full morning game drive is truly special — what an amazing way to start the adventure! Simon and John will be thrilled to know they made such a positive impact on your journey. We are very proud of our guides — their expertise in tracking wildlife, safe driving skills, and genuine passion for sharing knowledge really make all the difference. We’re also glad to hear that any initial concerns about the tented camps quickly disappeared and that you felt safe and comfortable throughout your stay. Being close to nature while still feeling secure is one of the unique joys of a safari experience. And yes — the famous “free African massage” on the park roads is all part of the adventure! Thank you again for traveling with us and for highly recommending us. It was truly our pleasure to host you, and we hope to welcome you back to Africa for another unforgettable safari in the future!
Deposit not refunded despite written confirmation We had a very concerning experience with Flash MC Tours. We paid a deposit of over USD 3,000 in 2024 for a safari planned for 2025. The trip was later mutually agreed to be postponed to 2026. After months of poor communication and no meaningful planning, on 14 November 2025 the operator confirmed in writing that he could not proceed and that the deposit would be refunded. That refund has not been made. What followed were repeated promises of imminent payment, missed deadlines, long periods of silence, and requests for us to “check with our bank”. When asked for proof of payment, the only document ever provided was a bank transfer application form, not a transaction confirmation. No SWIFT confirmation, transaction reference, or debit advice has ever been produced. As of today, the deposit remains outstanding. We are documenting this experience to warn other travellers. Anyone considering booking should exercise extreme caution, particularly when paying large deposits, and should not rely on informal assurances in place of verifiable proof of payment.
Thank you for taking the time to update your Google Review and for confirming that the refund has now been received. We sincerely apologize for the frustration, stress, and inconvenience this process caused. While the refund was initiated and scheduled for 20th December, the funds only reflected on 6th January due to delays within the international banking system, which regrettably was beyond our direct control. We acknowledge that this delay was understandably distressing. That said, we also recognize that we could and should have communicated expectations more clearly. As outlined in our Terms & Conditions, refunds can take up to one month once the process begins, depending on intermediary and receiving banks. In this case, we did not manage expectations adequately, and for that we take full responsibility. We confirm that: - The refund was processed and completed in full - The guest has confirmed receipt of the funds - The delay was caused by bank processing timelines rather than an unwillingness to refund We regret that our communication during this period did not provide the level of reassurance and clarity our guests deserve. We have taken this feedback seriously and are already improving our refund communication process to ensure clearer timelines, better documentation, and more structured updates going forward. We truly value every guest who places their trust in us, and we are sorry that this experience did not reflect the standard of service we strive to provide. We appreciate the confirmation that the matter has now been resolved and wish you all the very best in your future travels.
We had such amazing drivers who were so helpful and went the extra mile. Everything went soo smoothly and I would thoroughly recommend this company. Our drivers were bonaya in kenya who had such good knowledge of the animals and masai mara park. In tanzania we had justin who was very helpful describing local life
Dear Vinesh, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re truly delighted to hear that you had such a smooth and memorable experience with us. Bonaya and Justin will be thrilled to know their efforts made such a positive impact on your journey. We’re proud to have them on our team — their deep knowledge, passion, and warm hospitality consistently create meaningful safari experiences. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we sincerely appreciate your recommendation. We hope to welcome you back again for another adventure in the future! Warm regards, Peter Macharia Africa Flash McTours
Our 10 Day Two Nation (Kenya and Tanzania) safari with FlashMc was a dream come true. From the moment we arrived at Mt Kilimanjaro airport our excitement levels were on the rise. Met by the charismatic and super friendly Jason we were safely delivered to our Serana hotel where we enjoyed wonderful hospitality and were greeted with warm face towels and delicious tropical juice. Day 1 we were collected by our driver/guide Alan and received our briefing on what the day would involve which, as expected, was a long drive but a drive full of amazing sights from busy villages having market days, children heading off to school and the quintessential sight of the Masai farmers grazing their animals in the surrounding bush. They’re stunning brightly coloured Shukas visible from the vehicle as we drove into the Ngorongoro Conservancy area where our first wildlife encounter was a family of baboons including tiny little babies clinging tightly onto their mummas followed my a group of giraffes grazing happily on acacia trees. Our late afternoon safari in the Serengeti was our introduction to the wonderful animals we would see over the next three days. The image of a huge herd of elephants heading towards water and a large group of wallowing hippos slumbering in the shallows of a river bed was a bucket list moment. The vehicles on safari were fantastic, with comfortable seating and of course large windows and the pop up roof to facilitate incredible viewing opportunities. Alan did an amazing job securing fantastic vantage points for us to see animals up close and was in contact with other drivers on the two way radio to establish the locations of wildlife. Our accommodation at Kati Kati tented bush camp was brilliant and we could not have been closer to feeling a part of the magical Serengeti with grazing giraffes right outside the tent. The staff were incredibly friendly extending us wonderful hospitality and the food was absolutely fabulous. The whole team were great fun and we had lots of laughs. The Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater certainly delivered the Big 5 and so much more and we were mesmerised by the landscape and the beautiful creatures that call it home. It’s not hard to understand that the crater is often referred to as the “cradle of life”. It is a lush, green paradise that supports huge herds of zebra, wildebeest, elephants and incredible bird life. Alan was fantastic; he was a safe driver, always ensuring our comfort with lots of ablution stops ( a necessity for ladies over 50 😂), organised delicious packed lunches for safari including lots of water and answered our many questions. The border crossing into Kenya at Namanga was seamless with efficient immigration processing and it was there we met our Kenya driver/guide Edward. Greeted with a big smile and a briefing we made our way to Lake Amboseli where we spent two fabulous nights at the Kibo Safari Camp and experienced magical moments with more beautiful animals particularly the elephants complete with itty bitty babies who are obviously thriving in this beautiful park and it was a joy to see them safe and happy. We had a view of Mt Kilimanjaro right outside our accommodation and saw it so clear and uninterrupted later in the day as a back drop to great photos of a huge herd of elephants. The staff at the camp were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We loved the tented accommodation, food and the swimming pool after a day of driving on a warm day and the overall hospitality of Kibo camp. Lake Nakuru was like an oasis, teaming with animals and incredible bird life including flocks of stunning pink flamingoes, crested cranes and enigmatic Malibu storks. It was a was very special day for us as we got very close to a family of black rhinos including a wee baby grazing only 50 metres away. Our hearts almost stopped when the big male walked right in front of our vehicle to join his mate and calf. It was one of those”wow moments”. Ed knew all the right spots and got us the best vantage points to watch the splendour of Mother Nature from every angle. The Masai Mara did not disappoint and our 3 days there were nothing short of incredible. The Masai Mara Sopa Safari Camp was absolutely fantastic and again we were spoilt with amazing hospitality, great food, very comfortable accommodation and even zebras greeting us on the way to breakfast. Ed was a legend and listened to the two way radio to locate the best spots for our viewing and one morning we were treated to two big male lions feasting on a fresh wildebeest kill. Despite the blood and gore it was incredible to see the cycle of life and appreciate the balance of this special eco system and landscape. Ed has an amazing understanding and impressive knowledge of the flora and fauna of Kenya and he did a fabulous job answering the many questions we posed each day. We have all come away with a deeper love and appreciation of Kenya. Summing it all up, we had a life changing experience on our FlashMc safari and we were all very emotional coming through the gates of the Masai Mara park for the last time. A big thank you to Peter at FlashMc Mc HQ for coordinating our safari with professionalism and courtesy and a very special thank you to the wonderful Alan and Ed for delivering the safari holiday of a lifetime. Their experience, professional attitude, enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and kindness bestowed us a truly memorable trip and we now have beautiful memories to cherish of Tanzania and Kenya.

We had an unforgettable 9-day, 8-night safari experience across Kenya and Tanzania, covering the highlights of the Great Migration. The itinerary was perfectly arranged, allowing us to explore iconic destinations like Maasai Mara, Northern and Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Amboseli. Our travel assistant, Yvonne, was incredibly patient and ensured everything ran smoothly. Our guides, Simon and Bakary, were attentive and knowledgeable, making our journey even more enjoyable. Although we encountered a few minor issues along the way, they were quickly resolved, thanks to the team's professionalism. Overall, it was a fantastic trip that captured the essence of the wildlife migration. We look forward to returning and continuing our exploration in the future.
We travelled with Africa Flash MC Tours, and their service was amazing. I stayed for more than 8 days and experienced much nature and saw interesting places. I would like to go next year, and yes, I recommend their reliable service.
We saw a lot of animals up close, and it was all because of our guide, Simon. And the food was lovely and delicious. There are lots of options they have. I would like to recommend them and would like to tour with them a few months later. Thanks, mate, for the great experience.
Peter Macharia will be the guy answering your phone calls and emails from start to finish. He's DA MAN as Africa Flash McTours and Travel is his baby! He delivers 6-star FOUR SEASONS HOTEL customer service! Seriously, they should hire him! If you want to go directly to the source and not have a bunch of middlemen in between, then look no further! Before I settled on FlashMC (which I kept mistakenly seeing as McFlash) I did research on a dozen companies in Kenya & Tanzania, 6 companies in Europe & another dozen companies in the USA. If you've read until now then STOP YOUR RESEARCH and look no further - you're welcome! So Peter delivers on speedy communication that is easy to understand. He delivers on obstacles; if you have one he can help you get around it. He's KATO-bonded. He delivers on helping you do a turn key solution from the time you land until you take-off! But can he deliver on the safari? YOU BETCHA! I met him after his guide, Anthony Kimondo picked us up and brought us to a quick snack station and to meet Peter (see photo). All the lodges and tented camps were as advertised. FlashMC's website is transparent about choices of accommodations, upcharges, travel times, etc. Many other websites were "contact us for pricing" or some such malarkey (never used that term but trying to bring it back - LOL). We did a 10 day Kenya & Tanzania LUXURY tent & lodge experience. The title says "11Day Best of Kenya and Tanzania Group Camping Safari" because I could no longer find this option. You may see it listed as "Great African Rift Valley Safari" on his FlashMcTours dot com web site. We chose the "Luxury Package" over the "Standard Package." Anthony, our guide, smiles from ear to ear and with his eyes. He's 45 and has a wife and kids at home; it was nice to gain some insight into Nairobi living from him. He's genuinely happy and laid back enough to make sure this is all about you! You want to start at 6:30 am? No problem! You want to start at 9:30 am? Hakuna Matata! At breakfast, all the other private guides wanted to sit with happy Anthony! On safari, all the other private guides wanted to say hello to Anthony and share with him what they saw. He's like the MAYOR of the Maasai Mara! Oh, and he knows his stuff! He has eagle-eyes, his head is on a swivel but yet safety first! When we got to the Kenya-Tanzania border at Isibania, Kenya, the crossing was pretty simple. They were already protecting against CoronaVirus (CoViD-19) even tho, at the time it was rampant in the rest of the world but for Africa! Each country protects its own tourism so there are arrangements for a hand-off to another outfit. Peter uses Emanuel at Tanzania Joy and his guide was PrayGod (not misspelled). PrayGod is 31 and has a wife and new (adorable) baby son at home in Moshi. PrayGod was a thinking-man's guide! You wanted superficial knowledge about an animal; he got that! You wanted to go deep about the eco-system? Just sit back and listen to the professor! He was college-educated in this area and it showed. He used his radio for information but also used his all his senses to search for evidence so instead of looking for the lion, he listened for the baboon in the tree. He once spotted a black rhino in Ngorongoro that must have been 5 km away. PrayGod was also flexible and patient! Thank YOU Anthony & PrayGod! What would I change? Well we saw 28 of the 30 animals that were on the check list (attached). 93% seems like you don't need to change anything but here's my take: LODGING: 1) The hotel chain SAROVA is INCREDIBLE! They make you feel like family. Like genuine family you love and not faking it. We stayed in 2 locations and any chance I would to stay in more would be my choice. The Mara Sarova Game (LUXURY TENTED) Camp may have been one of our highlights! 2) The hotel chain Serena is very good. A blend of African welcoming hospitality and American service efficiency. 3) In Amboselli, we stayed at Oltukai Lodge though Peter's 1st choice was Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge; Oltukai was not bad and the scenery was magnificent as were the velvet monkeys but it seemed a bit 'rookie' compared to Sarova and Serena. In retrospect, we should have stayed in the Serena property. ITINERARY: 1) Amboselli to Lake Nakuru National Park was a LONG day filled with a lot of peripheral Nairobi traffic so not so interesting. We saw much there including the White/Wide Rhino but not sure it was worth THIS drive. 2) Maasai Mara to Serengeti was also a LONG DAY. We had to drive hours North West to the crossing and then hours South West to the Serengeti and then much further to get to our lodging. We were warned that this was the longest day and to consider a flight from Maasai Mara airstrip to the Serengeti. Peter would have arranged it and maybe we should have considered it more closely. NO REGRETS tho! 3) Ngorongoro: We were there for one night - I would have made that 2! If we had to 'steal' from somewhere else, it would have been to ditch Lake Nakuru (1-day) or to poach (okay, bad word) one of the 3 days from Maasai Mara. CAR/TRUCK: Your cheapest option is a safari-modified mini-van. As soon as we heard that the Toyota Landcruiser had more comfortable seat/ride, we chose the up-charge. Here's a minor thing we did not know: There are 2 styles of Landcruiser - The standard 3-row & the extended cab 4-row. In Kenya we had the 4 row and in Tanzania we had the 3 (you can see one of the attached pictures side by side). Well we were 2 people so space was not an issue but I will just mention that the 4-row has windows that are larger and 'portrait-mode' vertical rectangles to better see out of whereas the 3-row windows are more square or 'landscape-mode' horizontal. In comparison to the mini-vans both our Landcruisers had much better visibility! The book with the best stories should be your passport and FlashMc Peter delivered! Thank YOU Peter!
We traveled to Kenya and Zanzibar with Africa FlashMC and did a four day Masai Mara, two day Lake Naivasha safari and spent 4 nights in Zanzibar! It was a trip of a lifetime and Africa FlashMC and manager Peter made sure everything worked smooth. From the pre trip organization to the very last minute Peter was always available to answer our questions, full fill our wishes and arrange our transfers. Masai Mara safari driver Patrick was always on time and informative and did his best to show us as many animals as possible. Hotels in Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Zanzibar were top notch and good value for money. Despite a slight mistake in a hotel booking, Peter made sure we got an upgrade on another hotel and despite some slight delay in some transfers (30-45 mins) Peter reassured us that the driver was on his way through Whatsapp. During a non planned day of transfer from Nairobi to Zanzibar Peter made sure that we would visit some sights in Nairobi to spend our time before our flight and on our trip back he offered a complimentary airport hotel for our trip convenience. Generally every day and minute of our trip was well planned and excecuted and we felt we were always looked after. Some comments: - Make sure to confirm that you will get binoculars as there were no binoculars in the car - During our stay in Lake Naivasha the initial booking in our choice hotel was 2 nights, though without being informed we were moved to another hotel for the second night. The move was from SOPA lodge to Enashipai hotel, which was of same standards but the surprise was a bit uncomfortable. We would recommend Africa FlashMc for a safari as the service is excellent and professional. Filippos & Anna
