We were picked up in a super minibus near to our hotel. The drive up to the mountain village of Zia was spectacular around hairpin bends and 180 degree twists and turns! We arrived and were dropped in the centre of the village. Pick up time 9pm was perfect for us to experience the beautiful sunset at about 8.20. The village of Zia is quite beautiful full of gorgeous shops selling artisan goods with friendly but not pushy shop keepers. There were many tavernas to sit and eat or drink in beautiful surroundings. There is an opportunity to visit the church higher up in the village with spectacular views over the coast line. The sunset was the absolute icing on this cake. Romantic, moving and so so memorable.
