I felt the tour could be improved with more free time and/or some additional exploring. It was not well planned in that regard. A lot of time was spent standing on one spot listening to the information the guide was providing. Some people may like it, but for me personally it is not preferred.
We did this tour on June /23/20263 Had a wonderful day visiting Zarautz, Getaria, and Zumaia. Each place was beautiful and offered something different, from charming coastal towns to spectacular scenery. Our guide was Iker, was excellent very knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely funny. He shared interesting information throughout the tour while keeping the experience relaxed and entertaining. His personality made the day even more enjoyable. He gave us valuable insight about the history of these places. Took us to amazing spots for photography and took great photos of us We highly recommend this tour, especially for anyone wanting to explore the Basque coast with a great guide. Thank you, Iker, for such a memorable experience!
We took the tour with Diego, and the experience was perfect. Diego was able to orient us from the beginning about what we would see that day, and with an excellent sense of humor and remarkable knowledge of the route, he made our experience very interesting. All of this with a perfect understanding of what it means to be a host and an engaging teacher. His knowledge of the history and customs of the area is remarkable. Thank you!
The weather was filthy unfortunately, but our guide Gilles still made the tour fun and interesting. He was very knowledgeable as one would expect, but was humorous with it. A pleasant morning spent with some recommendations to follow up on for local restaurants, food and drink to try, etc.
I think this tour should be taken only if you want to dip your toes into the three locations and see what they can offer. In my opinion the tour should be broken up into 2 different tours to allow more time at each location. I felt a bit disappointed that we didn't have enough time to experience some of the locations and it felt a bit more like a taxi ride with a few stop-overs. For example, it would be great to actually go down to the beach at Zumaia to see the famous beach with flysch cliffs rather than just looking at them for 5 minutes from the cliff.
We had a great trip along the coast west from San Sebastian. Iker was a good guide who showed us great places.
Eider was a fantastic guide! She was knowledgeable, personable and FUN and she made a point of tailoring our tour to our interests. The places we explored were beautiful and she really brought them to life for us with her knowledge and personal insights. We honestly could not be happier and can’t say enough good things about both her and the tour itself.
Great tour. Javier was an excellent tour guide. Provides tons of local information and kept us all on schedule.
Wonderful places visited. We were struck by the attitude of the guide Íker Fernandez, because frankly he did not listen to us, even my husband asked to stand on the sign that said Zumaya because it was his mother’s name and simply ignored us. Instead the girl who accompanied him Estitxu charming and very helpful. I think that if Iker had been collaborative with the group and not only with the couple of Spaniards traveling, our walking experience would have been totally different.
Excellent guide and very interesting visits. Every stop is very enjoyable and the journey is enjoyable and fun.
