On the island there are 4-5 "must haves". Stone Town was interesting. Even the spice trip was educational. Prison Island wasn't as interesting, except for the world's second largest land turtles. Even a sunset evening trip was special, with their big sailboat. It was also the cheapest! Just our hotel 4**** had wonderful staff, which was worth the tip. Take in on the north cape, where is the least tide. The only really negative thing was the many beach vendors who persecuted you. Taking down half a star. Don't rent any vehicles as the police will stop you and gladly bring you down! Otherwise, no visible criminality.
Thank you for everything 🙏
If you want an all inclusive tour that gives you a little bit of everything Zanzibar in single full day adventure, this is your tour and Abdul is your guide. This was an amazing view of so many different parts of Zanzibar. We visited a lovely rural village with beautiful and inviting people living together happily and peacefully. They welcomednua with open arms, shared their food with us and showed us how they sustainably farm to live. The kids played games with us and sang songs that we're still humming weeks later. We got a spice tour and learned all about the local agricultural products and event went to the markets frequented by locals which gave us a true glimpse into the Zanzibarian lifestyle. We finished the tour in Stone Town and got a chance to talk to more natives, shop for souvenirs and even had a delicious authentic lunch. Our tour guide Abdul was the best we could have ever hoped for. He spoke English very well and even taught us some words in Swahili. He was knowledgeable, informative and funny as all get out. He was also very flexible and accomodating when it came to seeing additional sights. This was the best tour we had on our vacation! Thanks again Abdul!
