With a maximum of 8 guests, this tour offers a more personal experience and more attention from your guide. Traveling in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan also means faster travel times than large coach tours, giving you more time to enjoy the destinations. In Ljubljana, enjoy a 1-hour guided walking tour followed by around 2 hours of free time to explore at your own pace. Have lunch by the river, wander the charming streets, visit the castle, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. At Lake Bled, you’ll have about 2.5 hours of free time, enough for the traditional pletna boat ride and Bled Castle if you wish. Prefer a slower pace? Walk around the lake, relax with cream cake, enjoy the scenery, or swim in summer. No fixed schedule, just the freedom to enjoy Bled your way.

Your adventure begins in Zagreb with pick-up from one of 14 convenient locations across the wider city center. Pick up time is scheduled between 8-9 am. We specialize in small-group experiences, which means you’ll travel in a comfortable minivan with a maximum of just 8 guests. This allows us to travel faster and more efficiently than large tour buses, both on the road and when crossing the border into Slovenia. Less time in transit means more time to enjoy the destinations themselves. It also means a more personal, friendly experience with your guide throughout the day. After around an hour and a half of scenic driving, your first stop is the charming capital of Ljubljana.
This tour offers a well-balanced combination of a guided experience and free time in Ljubljana. During a one-hour walking tour through the old town, you’ll discover the city’s main highlights and hear the essential stories behind them. You’ll see the iconic Tromostovje (Triple Bridge), where elegant architecture by Jože Plečnik connects the historic and modern parts of the city, as well as the beautiful Ljubljana Cathedral with its distinctive green dome and richly decorated interior. You’ll also pass the famous Dragon Bridge, guarded by striking dragon statues that symbolize the city and bring local legends to life. After the guided part, you’ll have around two hours of free time to explore Ljubljana at your own pace, enjoy its riverside cafés, charming streets, and relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're into food, architecture, history, shopping, or simply wandering, Ljubljana has something for everyone—and don’t forget to try some local specialties while you're there.
As if the picture-perfect beauty of Bled Island weren't enough, the area offers plenty of outdoor activities to make your visit even more memorable. Take a traditional Pletna boat to Bled Island and visit the charming St. Mary’s Church, explore the historic Bled Castle with its breathtaking views, walk or cycle around the lake, or cool off with a swim during the warm summer months. And of course, don’t miss the chance to take a break and treat yourself to the famous “kremšnita” cream cake—a perfect way to frame your unforgettable Bled experience.
This fairytale-like castle is stunning from the outside, but stepping inside offers an even greater reward— breathtaking panoramic views of the entire lake, perfect for unforgettable photos. Perched high on a cliff above Lake Bled, the castle not only provides a glimpse into the region’s rich history but also offers one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Slovenia.

Please, check your email! One day before your tour, we will send you all the necessary details, including the name and contact information of your driver, as well as the exact pick-up time. Pick-up is scheduled between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. Pick-ups are organized at selected locations and hotels in Zagreb where we can safely stop without disrupting traffic, violating road regulations, or compromising your safety. Please choose the location closest to your accommodation. The exact pick-up time and other tour details will be provided one day before your tour. We kindly ask you to check your email. We had a fantastic time with Dom and learnt so much about Zagreb, Lake Bled and Ljubljana. It wasn't the best of days with the weather (a bit cold, rainy and cloudy), but we made the most of it with Dom suggesting we went to Lake Bled first, then finishing the day with Ljubljana. This worked in our favour, where we eventually enjoyed Ljubljana in the sunshine. Highly recommend this tour, plenty of time on your own to explore and enough information to learn something about the amazing places you visit.

The guide is very helpful in arranging it according to the situation and wishes. The climb from the car park to the entrance to Bled Castle is steep. But even though it was cloudy, the view was great. Exhibits, letterpress and wine tasting are all there to enjoy. My guide Dan spoke slowly and clearly in English, which was fun even for me, who was not good at English. Thank you very much.

The small-group experience like this is definitely preferable to going with a busload of people. We had a knowledgeable guide/driver, and a friendly group in the van. Insider tip related to Ljubljana: in addition to the shops, check out the local vendors at the farmers market and lined up along the water by the triple bridge, across from the pink church. Insider tip related to Bled Island: If you don't want to go up (or down) the 99 stone steps to the church, there is a sloped path you can take instead just to the right of the stairs closest to the boat dock. At the top, next to the church, you'll find a little cafe with ice cream and Slovenian cakes, a souvenir shop, and restrooms/WCs. There's no cost to go to the top! You might want to bring a backpack or canvas bag for carrying the items you are likely to buy while in Ljubljana, and consider buying/bringing a snack for the 2- to 2.5-hour drive back to Zagreb.

Had a magical time exploring Slovenia with 2 other couples in a small group. Dom was attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to accommodate different travel abilities within the group. There was a lot of travel but we knew there would be so that was no problem at all. The mini bus was comfortable and the other travelers were great to meet and get to know so we really enjoyed the time travelling. Our guide was a happy, chatty, knowledgeable young man. Great host for the day. We really enjoyed our tour, it was everything we hoped for. Unfortunately it rained in Bled so walking around the lake wasn’t so enjoyable. But overall the day was very enjoyable.

Fantastic tour! We had Dom as our tour guide and he was great! Very easy to talk to and get along with. He even let us add an activity to the itinerary that was not on the schedule as long as we all agreed as a group. You will definitely see some beautiful sights on this excursion
