Zaanse Schans with its mills is one of the most important icons of Holland, an itinerary along the banks of the Zaan river, including dairies, diamond cutters and clogs, lots of information on 17th century Dutch history and their culture, information on social life and economic of the country, in this route we will rediscover the ancient spice routes with its beautiful windmills with entry and explanation to the spice mill, we will also discover the art of making Dutch clogs (with demonstration in Italian), we will also visit an ancient Dutch cheese factory with free tasting of typical local cheeses, then proceeding with a visit to a small diamond maker, all enriched by many curiosities and lots of information with our expert mother tongue Italian operators.

The guide I thought spoke more. The place no big deal. I had high expectations, if I went back I would do more by saving.
Availability found two days before the tour. Characteristic village with mills, clog factory and other typical workshops of ancient Holland. Very friendly qualified and professional staff. We opted for the 4-hour "short" tour due to time problems with the plane. But if you can arrange for the full tour with visits to other typical places. Usually recommended to complete the experience in and around amsterdam
Tour organized in detail, very competent and serious guides, attentive to all participants
We received little explanation. There were radio lines, which we - though - we didn't get it. We felt "left" to ourselves. I believe, however, that a tour is the only option to see windmills!

Purtroppo, da quanto descritto, sembra che vi siate inserite nel gruppo sbagliato. Quel giorno il tour era suddiviso in due gruppi distinti: uno dedicato esclusivamente alla visita di Zaanse Schans (senza utilizzo di auricolari) e un altro gruppo che proseguiva l’intera giornata fino a Volendam e Marken, per il quale erano invece previste le radioline. Per questo motivo non avete ricevuto gli auricolari e probabilmente avete percepito una minore quantità di spiegazioni. Mi dispiace non essermi accorto in tempo della situazione: ero presente e avevo tutto il materiale con me, quindi sarebbe stato sufficiente segnalarlo per risolvere immediatamente il problema e inserirvi nel gruppo corretto. Capisco comunque il vostro punto di vista e mi dispiace per il disagio che ne è derivato. Faremo ancora più attenzione in futuro affinché situazioni simili non si ripetano. We were very lucky, the weather was gracious and the guide was able to involve us in a tour that took us back a bit to the world of fairy tales. The village is really nice and well worth a visit.
