Yanaka and Asakusa Walk around DOWNTOWN TOKYO like a local

This tour was the best time! My friend and I loved walking through the quaint town and having sweets at a local cafe. Hiroko was the best tour guide ever! She was so lovely and so knowledgeable. The temple was also so nice to visit later in the evening when it was less crowded. Highly recommend, and hope you get Hiroko as your tour guide!

Hiroko was an amazing guide! She was personable, knowledgeable, and incredibly sweet. She took lots of pictures for us and showed us a variety of sites in the area. She even helped us make a reservation for dinner after the tour and walked us to the restaurant. Overall a WONDERFUL experience and would highly recommend!

Hiroko was an amazing guide and showed us several spots we would not have otherwise gone in the tour. We got to try some local foods, walk through local neighborhoods, and learn about the history of Japan. Definitely do this if you come to Tokyo!

This was just the most amazing afternoon tour of one of the most historically robust areas of Tokyo. Hiroko was my tour guide who took me on a journey through time describing in detail the evolution of Asakusa and Yanaka though the centuries and various period eras, seamlessly connecting them to the settings we visited. It all lent a real tangibility and connection that made me feel I too had become part of the history we immersed in if for only a day. Hiroko is of the most personable nature and I felt very much in company of a best friend who went to great extents to make the tour both special and forever memorable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking to learn more about local Japanese history from an intimate and detailed perspective.

I joined this tour and had a great evening and night. Hiroko showed us by splended shortcut route so we did'nt need to walk too much, but still we enjoyed histrical paces and nice cafe where we had a break with wonderful canele at the best time to see sunset. Her time management was great. In Asakusa, suddenly amazing night view appeared in front of us! Main hall, five storied pagoda and Tokyo sky tree could be seen all at once and so impresive. Also Hiroko prepared lot of visval aidsand they helped us to image what she explained. Thank you Hiroko! 夕暮れ時の谷中と浅草の夜景は素晴らしく、ガイドさんの時間管理の技量に感嘆いたしました。また、私たちゲストの負担を考えてショートカットのコースを考えて下さいました。ショートカットでありながら見どころが凝縮されており、歴史的建造物や寺、そしておしゃれなカフェで最高のカヌレを味わいました。浅草へのルートはバスを使い、裏から入ったことにより目の前に浅草寺本堂、五重塔と東京スカイツリーが夜空に突然現れて大変感動いたしました。ガイドさんが写真や資料を沢山用意して下さり、とても具体的なイメージができたことにも感謝いたしております。素晴らしいツアーをありがとうございました！

I walked through the alleys in the valley that I didn't know, took a break with warm tea and sweets, and took a bus to Asakusa, where the lights of Sensoji Temple and Skytree were lovely at night. It was such a fun tour, listening to all the stories.

Yanaka and Asakusa… I was able to find many charms that I had overlooked before, and I made a series of "heh, ho" and became more of a favorite place than before. I was once again moved by how much fun it is to have a guide show you around the history, food, and miscellaneous goods of the area✨✨.

From Yanaka Cemetery, we walked through a maze of valley alleys and heard interesting stories from our guide. After a break from hot tea, we took a bus to Asakusa. After walking through the city of entertainment, I saw a competition between the illuminated Sensoji Temple and the Skytree! It was a very enjoyable tour.

It was a very fulfilling time to be able to easily guide us through familiar areas that we had visited many times, but where we had not noticed before, and historical episodes we had not known. The illuminated Nakamise-dori Street, which has the atmosphere of Showa era from Ura-Asakusa to Senso-ji Temple, was especially impressive. I also really enjoyed chatting with the people in the group I was with.
