Xi'an Xiaoyanta Museum is where history and culture converge. Also known as Jianfu Temple Pagoda, it was built between 707 and 709 AD during the Tang Dynasty. As a landmark of ancient Chang’an, it stands facing the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. The 43.3‑meter brick pagoda originally had 15 stories. It has a square base (11.38 meters per side) and tapers gracefully upward. Exquisite Tang‑dynasty carvings of celestial beings decorate its door lintels. The museum houses more than 43 stone steles from the Tang and Song dynasties, including the precious Attendant Bodhisattva inscription. Twenty steles record military examination candidates from the Ming and Qing dynasties, providing valuable materials for historical research.
