So much history in Florence! The ancient, the beautiful and priceless, and the tragic. We wanted to learn about the period of WWII. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and eventually agreeable to divert the walking tour to an outdoor cafe on a too-warm May evening. A lovely first evening in Florence.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're happy to hear your guide could adapt the tour to your needs and create such a memorable start to your stay in Florence 🌇🇮🇹💬
Francesco was very knowledgeable and had many interesting stories about the war history and art preservation. He brought old photographs to illustrate his points. He obviously loves history and sharing the history of this beautiful city with others!

Great tour! Nice context and perspective on Italy, and of course Florence, during World War II and the 20th Century, but also flexible to make sure we did not miss any points of interests along the way. A nice balance to our art and art history tours during our visit.
