My studio offers a unique and immersive experience, combining craftsmanship, culture and tradition. You will learn a rare and precious jewellery technique, the Dag Souiri watermark, alongside a passionate Master Craftsman. Unlike simple studio visits, here you create your own jewel, an authentic souvenir made with your own hands. The experience is enriched by a tasting of Moroccan pastries, a visit to the Argana Crafts Shop complex, a musical moment and a fitting of traditional outfits for a total immersion in Moroccan culture. I did a really nice jewelry workshop here and can highly recommend it overall. The atmosphere was super relaxed and authentic, and it was really exciting to see how traditional silver jewelry is made. I thought it was particularly cool that you could help design the ring yourself and take a real one-off with you at the end. You can see that we work here with a lot of experience and passion. The only small point is the language: The workshop is most worthwhile if you speak French or Arabic, as translation into English was sometimes a bit difficult. But with a bit of patience it still works, and the team is very friendly and effortful. Overall a great experience and a nice memory of Essaouira. Thanks for the insight into the craft!
We had such a wonderful time at Essabijoux Chic creating our own filigree rings. From the very first moment, we felt warmly welcomed and guided through the entire process with patience, professionalism, and genuine passion for the craft. The workshop was hands-on and beautifully structured. We didn’t just “assemble” a ring — we actually learned about traditional Moroccan filigree techniques, worked with the tools, and understood the delicate artistry behind each detail. It was fascinating to see how something so intricate comes to life step by step. The atmosphere was relaxed, inspiring, and personal. We never felt rushed, and all our questions were answered with kindness and expertise. By the end of the session, we weren’t just leaving with a ring — we were leaving with a meaningful memory we had created ourselves. If you’re in Essaouira and looking for something authentic, creative, and truly special, this experience is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

Abdel was great. He took time to explain the history behind how he got into the craft. He also broke down the steps and the reasoning behind it. Amazing experience
There wasn't much jewelry making. Either the jeweler or his wife did most of it. The ring was not made to size. Minimal English.
An interesting experience detailing the making of filigree rings. The staff were very kind and explained and helped us make our own rings that we could take with us.
We really enjoyed this experience and loved the beautiful rings we made. This would have been 5/5 if there was not a language barrier that made communication difficult. We booked in English but they spoke French and we did not get to learn as much due to the language difference. A translator did arrive for the end of the workshop but even then the communication was difficult. The teachers were amazing jewelers and the shop had many beautiful items for sale. We just wish we could have learned more about the process and could have participated more in the making of our rings. The rings are very beautiful and we will treasure them forever. Thank you!
Great experience learning how to make filigree jewellery! There were only the two of us on the course (my sister and I) so it felt very bespoke and tailored to us, and we had some lovely conversations with them and even sat and had mint tea and biscuits after. We both love the silver rings we created and are so glad to have such a beautiful souvenir from our time together in Essaouira! The location itself is lovely- Well worth a visit regardless of if you do a workshop or not! Lots of beautiful shops with artisan crafts without any pressure to buy. I hope that when the Arts and Heritage Centre opens across the road this will be even more popular! Thank you so much for such a live experience and a piece of jewellery that I will treasure forever!
Workshop creation of filigree jewelry this morning at the shop "Essabijoux chic" of the complex of craft Argana Crafts shop". My husband and I loved discovering the technique of filigree jewelry and taking with us our creations (filigree rings). the workshop is very well supervised by Abdelhafid and his sister, both are really beautiful people, very professional, listening, smiling. The 2h00-2h30 spent in the workshop passed too quickly so we were comfortable. We come away rich from this experience, I highly recommend this workshop, which allows to learn a lot about the technique of watermarking. Thank you again for this beautiful meeting and the small friendly moment mint tea and cookies, as they say in France "after the effort the comfort". Inchallah.
