A great tour where you get to see many of the sites close to Sapporo. One of the few tours that does not go to the Bear ranch, which is a positive. The drive includes some beautiful scenery. Tour guide (Helen) could have provided more info at some sites, however, understand the may be a slight language barrier.
The day covers lots of sightseeing spots, the weather cooperates and make a misty and dreamy background for beautiful pics. The tourist guide Andy is helpful, cute and funny even though his English is so so. Driver is friendly and accommodating. This tour is worth the money 👍.
I did not care about Toyaku onsen, wanted more time at Hell’s valley. Visiting Mt. Usu by the ropeway was a great experience with great views. The Silo viewing point had great views to the lake, the islands and Mt. Yotei. Our guide, Allan, was knowledgeable and helpful.
Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear that you had a great time visiting Mt. Usu and the Silo viewing point, and we are grateful for your kind words about your guide, Allan. We have taken your feedback about the time spent at Toyako Onsen and Hell’s Valley seriously. We will consider your suggestions for future tour improvements. We hope to see you again.
Great day out! Amazing views, exceptional weather for the whole day and we even saw deers in the wild. Tour Guide Tom a big Thank you!
The tour does a good job at seeing various sites in the Noboribetsu and Toya area. As is expected in these tours, one only gets to see each site for a 30 to 1.5 hour period. Our guide Akiko was very helpful and informative - she was a great guide. Our driver Hashimoto was very careful and skilled given the varied road conditions in winter.
Noboribetsu was impressive with the smell, the sulfats arround, everywhere steam. Great views on lake Toya have been captured a thousand times by iPhone. But the bear park was a horrible and really sad experience. You don‘t expect such husbandry conditions for animals in a developed country. Bears live in 100% concrete environment. A clear no-view recommendation.
