This is more than a wine tour. My husband and I have done several wine tours throughout the world and this is by the best we have done. The wineries are carefully chosen for the unique wines and for the family like atmosphere. The four course dinner in between is like nothing you will ever experience. It is a tour that will not disappoint.
The trip was magnificent. Agnieszka showed up exactly on time at our hotel and then we were wined and dined for the rest of the day, with wineries that varied from small family producers to much larger. We tasted a lot of wine grapes that we had never heard of before, with great pleasure. Agnieszka seems to know everyone and has immense knowledge about Croatian history, which was very interesting. As a long term wine collector and aficionado, I still learned a lot, way more than I expected. Great tour.
Great experience! Agnieszka is not only very knowledgeable about wine but about many other topics as well, we learned a lot about Istria and Croatia. The vineyards and tastings where varied and plentyful, and the dinner delicious. My husband and I were also lucky to get this excursion privately, which felt very luxurious! Highly recommend!
We had the best day out with Agnieszka. While being a true profressional with lots of information on both the history and wine of Croatia and the specific region, Agnieszka was also a lot of fun and a very kind and interesting person. We visited three vineyards, all that provided very healthy measures of the wine, that gave a great overview and characteristic profile of some of the main grapes in the region and were all very good quality. The snacks were also excellent and the vineyards in stunning locations with some lovely views of Istria. My case but on about 6kilos from the wine we picked up on the tour from anywhere between €10-€25 euros. In the UK, you either couldn’t get this wine or you would pay £100+ in a restaurant. The meal was also in a beautiful restaurant and delicous. I’m a foodie to the core and was very satisfied. We did a couple of other tours on our trip and nothing came close to our day with Agnieszka. She takes all the hassle and stress out too, lets you go at your own pace and no rushing so that you can really sit back and enjoy your day. Kudos for her putting up with us at the end too, when we were all a little tipsy to say the least :) I travelled with a friend, and we met a lovely couple who we exchanged social contacts with and went on to enjoy the evening in Rovinj together. I hope just like Agnieszka, our paths will cross again, for more sophisticated and indulgent fun in the sun. I was in Croatia for 9 days total and this was by far my favourite day in the whole trip. So, just book it, you will only live once and not get this time again to make memories and smile from ear to ear all day.
I highly recommend this deep dive into Istrian wines. Agi is a knowledgeable guide to the ins and outs of Croatian winemaking and a delightful person to spend the day with. She has curated a tour of some exceptional wineries and tasting opportunities that help you really come to understand the local grapes, terroir and winemaking methods. We had lunch at an absolutely stellar farm to table restaurant in the hill country. I wish we'd taken this tour at the beginning of our trip rather than the end because the things I learned would have influenced my wine choices for the entire trip.
We had an absolutely unforgettable experience exploring the Istria wine region, thanks to our incredible tour guide, Agi! From start to finish, the day was perfectly organized and full of fascinating insights into the local culture, history, and-of course-the amazing wines of Istria. Agi's s passion for the region was infectious, and she went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt welcome and engaged. Every winery we visited offered something unique, and Agi's knowledge truly enriched each tasting. We loved the personal stories, local tips, and hidden gems that we never would have discovered on our own. If you're looking to explore Istria's beautiful vineyards and sample some of the best wines in the area, I can't recommend this tour and guide highly enough. It was the highlight of our trip!
Agy was an amazing guide who has extensive knowledge of the region and its history. The wineries chosen were beautiful and each were unique and delicious. The dinner was absolutely incredible, and everyone we met on the tour was so generous and kind.
My husband and I went to Istria with the intention of seeing as much as possible of the peninsula, and we wanted to have some memorable experiences. This was a perfect addition to our trip! Agi was excellent as a guide; she was knowledgeable about wine and she had a lot of information to share about Croatia in general. We were picked up in a clean and comfortable, air conditioned car, and we visited beautiful wineries over the course of an entire day. We were served quite a variety of wines at each place, both fresh and aged, and some digestifs and aperitifs as well. The wineries we visited were simply gorgeous! The views were breathtaking at certain stops, one winery overlooked a valley with mountains in the background, with a picturesque view of Motovun, and at another we had a view of grapes being harvested in the vineyards below, truly spectacular! Importantly, we were served plenty of food to enjoy with our wine at every stop. In between our visits to wineries, we also had an incredible, multi-course lunch at a lovely restaurant. It was truly a wonderful day! We completely enjoyed each aspect of the tour and highly recommend this!
Agi’s coverage of wine history in the region is beyond insights provided by a fact book. Agi is an active character is the growing story line of Istria wine. We are beyond than glad to have to spent the day (10 hours), as she has become a friend hosting us in her region.
We did the 3 winery tour on the little tour list train . We visited 3 loverly wineries close to Novigrad. Sampled some very nice white and red wines and talked with the staff at each winery. Highly recommend
