We will start the Tour with a visit to the oldest winery in South America, currently called "Hacienda Tacama" which uses fine grapes for the production of its wines, pisco and sparkling wines. At the same time they will be invited to the tastings of the various products in each of the wineries. Important Note: On Mondays, the "Hacienda Tacama" has a rest, so the visit to Tacama will be replaced by the visit to the Hacienda Vista Alegre (it is of the same category as Tacama). ___ Iniciaremos el Tour con la visita a la bodega más antigua de Sur América, llamada actualmente "Hacienda Tacama" la cual emplea finas uvas para la elaboración de sus vinos, piscos y espumantes. A la vez serán invitados a las degustaciones de los diversos productos en cada una de las bodegas. Nota Importante: Los días Lunes, la "Hacienda Tacama" tiene descanso, así que la visita a Tacama se reemplazará por la visita a la Hacienda Vista Alegre (es de la misma categoría que Tacama).
We will visit the "El Arrabal" Winery estate, where you will be able to learn more about the history of Pisco and Wine, you will also be able to enjoy its majestic environment full of fruit trees, horses and finally you will be able to taste the piscos and artisan wines of this Vitivinicola. It is important to remember that at this point of visit we have a tourist restaurant where all our clients usually have lunch after visiting the vineyard. Es importante recordar que en este punto de visita tenemos un restaurante turístico donde todos nuestros clientes suelen almorzar después de la visita al viñedo. La alimentación es por cuenta de cada pasajero.
We will continue with the tour heading to the Huacachina Oasis where the huge dunes that surround the lagoon allow visitors to practice one of the most fascinating sports in the area, we are referring to the rides in the famous sand carts and the board sport on sand , popularly called Sandboarding. Important note: For "official holidays" in Peru, the duration of the Buggy ride will last approximately 01 hour, on "normal" days it usually lasts 02 hours. ___ Continuaremos con el recorrido rumbo al Oasis de Huacachina donde las enormes dunas que rodean la laguna permiten a los visitantes practicar uno de los deportes más fascinantes de la zona, nos referimos a los paseos en los famosos carros de arena y el deporte de tabla sobre la arena. , popularmente llamado Sandboarding. Nota importante: Para los días "feriados oficiales" en Perú, la duración del paseo en Buggy durará 01 hora aproximadamente, en días "normales" suele durar 02 horas.

Samael was an amazing tour guy and driver, he guide us through each activity we had that day, the wine taste experience, the buggy and even at lunch time. Me and my daughter had a blast with our buggy driver Armando, he was so kind to help taking pictures of us, and guiding us on the right way to use the sand board, Samael and Armando thank you, we highly recommended this company.

This was one of my favorite activities, if not my absolute favorite, that I did on my trip in Peru, the wine tasting was a pleasant experience and the guide/driver Samael was helpful in guiding us through that first half of the experience as well as in teaching us plenty about the history of pisco but the highlight is truly the dune buggy / sandboarding half, it was so much fun and our buggy driver Armando was very skilled and as much of a thrill-seeker as us, some parts of the ride felt like a rollercoaster!! He also made sure we were all safe and comfortable and was very respectful towards us ladies as we learned to sandboard. He even let our whole group take pictures on top of the buggy, all while remaining on schedule so that we could watch the sunset from a beautiful spot in the desert. The Huacachina desert is one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen and it is truly a surreal experience to see that overview of the oasis by the end of the day once the sun has set. Unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

I have to recommend Sam. He was such a great guide! He contacted me before and we arranged everything - the pick up and when we need to come back to the bus station. He was also really helpful with recommending the breakfast spot. Sam started with some history and stories about Pisco and Ica - really interesting and it also gave us background to our next stops. We started with Tacama winery and then another artisanal winery. Both with tasting of wine and pisco. They were really nice. Then we drove to Huacachina for the buggy and sandboarding experience. It was INSANE! Be ready to be full of sand and adrenaline. It was such a great package. I highly recommend doing it with Sam - he took really good care of us.

Our guide Sam was easy to communicate with, both in person and over the phone. He was prompt to pick us up and drove great. He was extremely knowledgeable about Peru and Ica's wine history, and would tell us about it during the drives. He gave us great food recommendations and assisted us with getting into tours and buying tickets. Would absolutely recommend this experience for anyone who wants a fulfilling, exciting time in Ica.

What an amazing tour! Sam was so helpful with picking us up from our accommodation and chauffeuring us between vineyards and dune activities. He was beyond knowledgeable helping us understand the different wine making practices and Pisco/Ica history. The tour (April) was a convenient way of being ferried around Huacachina and Ica, where the destinations and activities were picked for you. In reality, you still pay for entry, food, tips for activities. In conclusion, you can do all this yourself (given uber is extremely cheap in Peru), but this makes it slightly more hassle free.

The experience went like this. I booked it. Sam reached out. Told me he’ll pick us up. He was very communicative. First we went to one industrial vineyard where we learned about history of Peru’s wine. Then went to a more local family owned type vineyard. Where the food was amazing. Got to taste wine at two different wineries. After lunch went to the sand dunes. Drove at crazy high speeds it was like a roller coaster. Then we took turns sliding down different sand hills. Finished the night with a sunset photo shoot. Sam was always there to help us if need him!
