Drive to Chiuro Valtellina with stunning views on the valley and the vineyards of this most beautiful countryside. Guided visit of a winery. Guided visit of the cellars. Winery’s staff will describe all production stages from the vineyards to the bottles and will reply to any question you may ask about procedures, contents, different brands etc. Exclusive vertical tasting of 2/5 vintages (at your choice) together with local food specialties to discover the authentic flavors. Depending on your interests, season and weather conditions the full-day tour may include a visit to a medieval castle or a basilica or other exciting touristic spots along the itinerary. Clothes and shoes according to weather forecast. The guided tour can be exclusive, if requested. Cost for wine&tasting in the winery: Euro 25-45 per person depending on number of glasses you will decide to taste.

Giovanni was an excellent tour guide—he shared so much knowledge of the region. We learned so much, and his insights made the trip even more memorable. We had the best time on this tour! Giovanni was so knowledgeable and explained everything very well. The winery was amazing and all of the wine tasted delicious. He also took us to a castle in the area, Castel Grumello, which was beautiful and to a local restaurant called Da Silvio. We wouldn’t have had as near as good of a time had we had a different tour guide. We will definitely recommend this to others that come to the area!
If you go to Lake Como or Milan I definitely recommend using Giovanni Menna who owns and operates Private Guided Tours. Giovanni is both a tour guide and professional driver. He goes all over Lake Como area and surroundings, Milan, Northern Italy, Switzerland and beyond. He will customize your tours and fill your entire 8 hour day going to many interesting places! Even if tour plans don’t work out, he has great back up tour ideas. Giovanni knows the best restaurants, places to visit and is fluent in English and Italian which makes traveling so much easier! Any trip or tour with Giovanni is a 10/10. If we go back will be using Giovanni again and we definitely go on his bike 🚴 tour! I thought I would write an appreciation post for Giovanni because he was just over the top and phenomenal!
Giovanni is a super guide. He is very personable with excellent English, a comfortable vehicle and very knowledgeable. On our tour he offered an alternative to the schedule which proved to be excellent guidance on the day. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.
