A very easy paddle down the River and back up. I had my 8 year old with me who took a lot of “breaks” and I was still able to paddle both of us. Lol!
What a nice way to kickstart the morning. Luis was our guide and Orlando was our driver. I learned so much of the wildlife, geology, some of the history of the area, and the amount of remedies that can be made with local products, including almonds, sandalwood, fishing.
Traveling with partner and friends we decided to book this kayaking trip. It was great! Our guide, Christopher was the best! He educated us on many aspects of the mangroves. The time of day was perfect to see lots of beautiful birds. Highly recommend!!
We enjoyed our early morning drive, with a short stop along the way to see a family of howler monkeys, to the Rio Chora and the kayak tour along the mangroves to the ocean and back. Alan, our tour guide, was excellent, pointing out the wildlife along our route, including birds, bats, coatis and a caiman.
The guides were passionate and knowledgeable in pionting out the nature and restoration efforts for mangroves. We saw hatched nests which were pertected on the beach and many birds as well. Highly recommend. Great tour.
Great trip and wonderful guides. Everyone had a great time and saw some beautiful wildlife. We had kids ages 8-12 and they loved it. Would recommend.
Awesome morning with guide, Chris. He was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, identifying and locating many animals for our viewing from their sounds, including White Faced and Howler Monkies. 6AM was earlier but led to a much more enjoyable outing. Chris. We took you advice and made a stop at Playa Corozalito. We'll worth it. Ray and Glenys
Nice relaxing paddle. Midday due to need for high tide. Best early AM if possible to see more wildlife. Guide Francisco very good
Ricardo was a great guide. Trip was easy, informative, and fun. Saw monkeys, iquanas, and lots of birds. No crocodiles, however.
What a pleasant surprise! We were picked up at our hotel and rode in the back of a truck to the Sloth Farm, walked through the farm and saw sloths (YAY!) and then climbed into our kayak for a serene paddle along the river to the sea. Along the way our young guide pointed out many birds and plants. We were the only folks on the river, and the only folks on this tour and the birds put on a special show for us, I think. We rested and refreshed ourselves with fresh pineapple when we reached the ocean. The beach is not accessible by road so again, we were alone. We then paddled back and rode in the truck back to our hotel. A most enjoyable late afternoon!
