Important Information
- Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Weight restrictions: For a single passenger booking weighing 240lbs or more, a combined weight (2 passengers) of 420lbs or more or for groups of 3 or more an average weight of 200lbs or more an additional seat must be purchased at the time of booking. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers on board.
- We ask that all passengers wear dark clothing to help have less reflection in the windows when flying and therefore you can get better photos during your tour
- Flight routes & sights may vary due to weather.
- Infants under 24 months must sit on an adult lap. PLEASE CONTACT AIR MAUI IF BRINGING AN INFANT. Over 24 months must occupy their own paid seat.
- Please contact Air Maui directly for your check in and departure time at least 72 hours prior to your flight!
- Not wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair lift to accommodate wheelchair passengers nor can the staff personally/physically assist people into the helicopter
- Helicopter is a shared cabin with 6 passengers and one pilot on each flight.
- All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. Under representation of body weight may result in cancellation at check-in with no refund.
- No bags. This includes purses, fanny pack, backpack, etc.
- Customers must pay for parking with the QR code at the entrance of the heliport. We have the QR code in our office as well. CREDIT CARD ONLY.

It was a fantastic experience. If it could also show the city view for just 5-10 minutes then it would be wonderful! People can see the beautiful mountains, sea and city combined. The pilot has excellent narration!

One of the best, if not the best vacation experience we ever had and we are a well traveled family. Ride was very smooth and felt like you were on a Jurassic park movie set. We did the doors on experience we were seated in the back and was still an amazing experience. Was very easy to hear the pilot and gave an excellent narration during the flight. Very easy to park. Operation there is very efficient and well organized. I wish the media package was available for digital download because I don’t have a way to view it off a USB thumb drive on vacation, but that is the only note. Otherwise money well spent for the experience.

There were four of us flying together. In total, there were six people in the helicopter. Unfortunately, this is too many, as the middle seats in the back row offer no unobstructed view—yet cost the exact same price. I myself sat in the front, and it was a fantastic adventure. My wife, who was seated behind me, unfortunately couldn't see anything at all and was terribly disappointed. She wasn't able to take a single photo, nor could she see the sights the pilot was describing and attempting to point out. Consequently, the quality of the experience depends heavily—and unfortunately—on which seat you are assigned. In my opinion, only four seats should be offered for this flight to ensure that everyone has a wonderful experience. After all, the price is quite steep. Regrettably, we received no accommodation whatsoever from the agency, Viator, whom we contacted after the fact regarding this issue. We also raised safety concerns, as passengers simply swapped seats among themselves despite the seating having been allocated based on weight distribution. These concerns were completely ignored. Instead, we received a one-sentence reply stating only that they hoped to be of better assistance to me on my future travels. It was simply unacceptable. In summary, it is a wonderful tour—provided you are assigned a good seat. The pilot was highly professional and made every effort to engage with all the passengers; however, in this instance, his hands were simply tied.
Mahalo for the honest feedback. For every party of 2 there is one window and one middle seat the 2 share one window. If at time of boarding a party of two wants a certain person on the window or not they can let dispatch know and can switch once dispatch checks with the pilot. Total weights are needed for safety yes but who wants the window is not necessarily a safety concern so it is fine if someone switches who is on the window or not. I apologize that your wife was not able to get photos but we do hope that the other 3 in your group (the 2 of you that were in front and the 3rd person on the window in back next to your wife) were able to share their photos with her. The helicopter is configured to carry 6 passenger and 1 pilot on all tours as a shared cabin so the flights do fill with up to 6 passengers unless you book all 6 seats as a private. That is the only way to ensure it would have just been the 4 of you on the flight.
This helicopter ride was a once in a lifetime experience. Our pilot, Cameron, was very professional, and was so good that we felt safe and at ease during the whole ride. The views were spectacular and Cameron embellished them with his commentary and some jokes! Would highly recommend doing this if you're visiting Hawaii.

We were supposed to go on the regular trip but there wasn’t enough people so they asked if we’d go on the doors off tour. We said yes. Very scary and windy but we did it. It was good. Lots to see Richie was a good pilot and tour guide. Thanks.

This experience was completely worth it. If you have hesitation of the view in the middle seat in second row, then don’t worry. We had Cameron as our pilot and he made sure he turns the helicopter for folks on each side to be able to see the views. Incredibly detailed tour of each island (Maui and Mokoloi) and the best part, the selection of music cannot be any better. Trust me, this is every dollar worth spent. We did a closed door experience but it was still so much fun. You can purchase a video that the pilot records during the entire session from different vantage points from cameras outside the helicopter.
