Rollingdale is a family-owned farm gate winery in stunning West Kelowna, B.C., where the land's history is rooted in orchards of apples, peaches, and cherries. After lying bare for years, vines were first planted in 1999, including Marechal Foch, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc. The winery opened in 2004 with its debut vintage, and over time, expanded its vineyard to include Merlot, Chardonnay, and more Pinot Blanc. Certified organic since 2007, Rollingdale takes pride in its organic practices, growing grapes and crafting wines that reflect their deep commitment to sustainability and the land. Off the Grid Organic Winery has been in the Paynter family for over 100 years! Originally from Alnwick, England, Edwin Paynter came to Canada in 1909 with dreams of farming, buying 80 acres in Westbank. After a quick return to England for World War I, he and his wife came back in 1919 and started farming, eventually dividing the land among their seven children. Today, Edwin's great-grandsons, Travis, Sheri, Nigel, and Hayley, proudly run Off the Grid, keeping the family’s farming legacy alive with a modern twist! Welcome to Frind Estate Winery on 3725 Boucherie Road in West Kelowna, BC, where history and wine blend perfectly! This scenic spot was once home to BC Premier Bill Bennett and his family, and it’s steeped in legacy, with Bill’s dad, W.A.C. Bennett, being the longest-serving Premier and president of the Okanagan’s first winery, Calona Wines. Every bottle of Frind Estate wine proudly features a golden pinecone, symbolizing science, Bacchus’ wine magic, and the beautiful Ponderosa Pines that inspired it. Founder Markus Frind, a math genius, drew inspiration from the Fibonacci sequence found in pinecones, which also appears in the Kelowna city logo. Kalala Organic Estate Winery, or "Miracle Place," is all about harmony with nature, crafting award-winning wines from organic grapes in beautiful West Kelowna. Karnail Sidhu, a third-generation organic farmer, turned his passion for sustainable farming into a thriving winery after moving to Canada in 1993. Starting at Summerhill Pyramid Winery, Karnail eventually planted his own organic vineyards, officially opening Kalala in 2008. The Slamka family made their mark on West Kelowna's wine scene after moving from Czechoslovakia and planting their first vineyard in 1969. Originally, they planned to sell grapes to big commercial wineries, but by 1996, the three Slamka sons had launched Little Straw Vineyards! Their debut release in 1994 captured the essence of West Kelowna's summer grapes, and ever since, their wines have reflected decades of passion and tradition. With new vineyard blocks and modern winemaking techniques, their 12-acre parcel has produced unique wines like the fan-favorite Auxerrois in their Frizzante and Tapestry, as well as their delicious Foch wine. After over 50 years, the Slamka family passed the torch to Kalala Organic Estate Winery in 2021, leaving behind a lasting legacy in every bottle. Sarwan Gidda's dream of crafting world-class wines began with his father, Mehtab, who arrived in Canada in 1958 with just $5 and a set of metal dinnerware. Settling in the Okanagan Valley, Mehtab, an experienced mango farmer from India, adapted his skills to apple farming before Sarwan and his wife Sudarshana ventured into grape growing in 1978. They supplied top wineries like Gray Monk and Mission Hill while gradually turning their orchards into vineyards. Although Mehtab has passed, his legacy continues with Sarwan and his family running the Volcanic Hills Estate Winery, established in 2010. When you visit, you'll be greeted by Sarwan’s children, Christina, Bobby, and Amit, who are always ready to share their family’s winemaking story. Back in 1980, Kirstin and Natasha’s parents bought a plot of land that had an old, abandoned vineyard, not knowing it would one day become The Gallery Winery! Fast forward to 2013, when things got serious—leveling the land’s tricky terrain kicked off the adventure. In 2015, they planted their very first vine and, by fall, snagged their trusty tractor, officially swapping paintbrushes for farm tools! The barn construction started in 2018 and, after some creative upgrades, transformed into The Gallery Winery by 2020. Their first harvest rolled in during 2018, and in 2021, they planted a gorgeous Cabernet Franc block and wrapped up the winery’s renovation just in time for fall. The Modest Butcher brings you farm-to-table dishes with zero pretension and the best dining vibe in Okanagan wine country! Sourcing local meats when possible, but never shying away from something amazing, they’ve been "Dining with Reckless Abandon" since 2020. Our expereince as a group of 8 on this specific day. Did a full day tour with sip happens on June 7th 2025, We had pre booked a few month in advanced and asked for a spefic tour as there was 8 of us going and it was confirmed for the tour and places we wanted to visit all not being unresonable asks and all near each other.on the west side We started off the trip with having to double back across the the bridge to go pick up people who where not at there pick up point when the driver went to pick them up, which put us behind on the tour by around 40 minutes.Which in our booking does say that they won't do. This changed the order in which we did the tour which would'nt have been a big deal , but the tour guide ( more like just a driver to be honest) told the tasting room at our first place to speed up the tasting because we were running latebecasue of traffic (not true), which was accurate but not from the fault of us. We were rushed through the first tasting, which really was to bad as the winery was lovely with a very cute story and we did'nt get to really enjoy the wine as it was more like chugging. Some of the guest bot a bottle of wine and all put in a box behind the van, the driver was going to drive off without putting the box in van. the vibe was off for sure adn he didnt sem like he wanted to be there! We did 2 more wineries before lunch and the driver did'nt have boxes for the wine or a marker to mark the bottles on the top for easy identification after the tour. We stopped for lunch and a few of our guest did not continue on the tour they chose to go back to the resort as they were feeling to rushed. The way that our group had chosen the wineries we went to was very specific unfortunately they decided to switch one of the wineries out without our knowldge after lunch and it was not a good swap, disapointing really. When asked about it I was told that they were booked up a month in advance but I had booked well over a month in advance and was not told anything when they confirmed my request. The driver did not create a fun expereince and was not attentive. We did a tour the day before with the same company different driver and it was awesome, He had boxes for our stuff came and grab the bottlesd marked them and reaaly created a fun chill vibe, so who your driver is really does make a huge difference! We have used the compnay a few time before but this tour on Saturday was not the best tour we have had that's for sure.

We really do appreciate you taking the time to outline your experience, and we’re sorry to hear that this particular tour didn’t meet the expectations you had based on your previous positive experiences with us. We’d like to clarify a few things from our end, because we truly believe in transparency and giving credit where it’s due. On the morning of your tour, our guide arrived at the exact pickup location that had been confirmed both in writing and again the night before via Text. Unfortunately, the other party was not only at the wrong location, but in a completely different city from the one they had provided. They not once but twice confirmed an inaccurate address, and we cannot control what clients provide us and wholly relay in correct information or who are we do know. While this was outside of our control, our guide went out of his way to go and pick them up—something we normally avoid as stated in our policy, specifically to prevent delays like the one your group experienced. We did our best to fix the situation and keep the day on track, even though the mix-up was entirely due to incorrect information given to us. We understand how frustrating it must have been to feel rushed at the first winery. It’s not how we want our guests to experience a tasting. While the guide tried to keep things moving so you could still visit all your requested stops despite the late start, we recognize that the vibe and pacing didn’t meet your expectations. As for the wine boxes and marker, you’re absolutely right—those little touches can make a big difference, and we’ll make sure that standard is met across the board. Regarding the last-minute change to your winery itinerary, we sincerely apologize for the lack of communication. While some wineries do fill up unexpectedly and we try our best to make substitutions that still offer a great experience, you should have been informed, and we take full responsibility for that oversight. You're also spot-on that the driver can make or break a tour. We’re glad to hear your previous guide created a fun, relaxed experience—that’s exactly the energy we aim for every time. We’ll be using your feedback to ensure better consistency in guest experience, regardless of the guide. Thank you again for being a returning guest. We’re disappointed this tour didn’t live up to what you’ve come to expect from us, but we hope you’ll give us another chance to make it right in the future.
Amadeus was a knowledgeable tour guide. The 5 wineries served us a variety of wines. All stops were on time. The views are worth it! The van was comfortable and full of new acquaintances by the end of the day. Recommended!

Had a fantastic tour of five great wineries. We really enjoyed visiting some of the smaller vineyards, and places we wouldn't have visited on our own turned out to be our favourites. Our guide James was terrific, very patient and knowledgeable, and he had lots of great stories that added to our trip. Everything ran smoothly and on time. Highly recommend!
