On this trip you'll have ample time to explore the historic city of Lagos and see some of the Algarve's most picturesque points, including Sagres, the ‘end of the world' and Baleeira fishing village. Sheltering by a river mouth, the town of Lagos has a great location by the beach and within reach of all that amazing scenery. Get your culture fix with a tour of Lagos town, plus free time to enjoy the vibrant streets and cafés. Your guided tour takes in Praça do Infante to see Henry the Navigator's statue, as well as the building that served as Portugal's first slave market. Afterwards, you could choose to spend your time having lunch, shopping or exploring. Next, we'll visit Cabo de São Vicente, also known as the ‘end of the world' – Europe's most south-westerly point. Soaking up these views looking out over the fishing harbour of Baleeira is the perfect way to round off this tour.

The tour was wonderful, but the local tour company was poorly run. When I booked the tour, I didn't know where I would be staying, so I didn't pick a meeting point. As it got closer, I noticed one had been chosen for me by the company, but it wasn't near where I was staying, so I picked a place closer to the apartment where I was staying. I received notification of the change to the meeting place. It said I would be given an exact pickup time before the date of the tour. I did not, and I emailed the company to say I hadn't. No one responded to me, so we showed up at the pickup point at 8am to be safe. By 9:15ish, we were still waiting. We tried calling the local tour company but the calls wouldn't go through. I was FINALLY able to get through only to be told that they were going to the original meeting point, not the updated one. I was then told the bus that was in our area was full, and I had to reschedule the tour. I was unable to do that, since I was leaving the next day. THEY made the mistake, and were unwilling to provide alternative transportation. After MANY calls and suggestions on my part, we were told if we could get ourselves to a gas station on the highway, another bus could pick us up there for the tour. We took an Uber to the gas station and were picked up there. From then on, the tour itself was fabulous. Beware of the local tour companies. It wasn't Viator per say that messed up, but we almost missed a full day tour because of the mistake they made and lack of communication.

The experience was lovely. We spent the day seeing Lagos and Sagre. I have to say Sagre was an amazing spot! The tour guide explained us a lot of stuff during the day (he also translated the information in different languages). Staff very friendly.
