Itinerary
Our whole trip will take place in this National Forest. It's home to hundreds of waterfalls and some of the tallest mountains on the east coast!
Assuming its not a crazy busy day, we try to make a stop at this iconic waterfall! Yes, its not really a "secret" spot, but it really is gorgeous. (Don't worry, our other stops will be off the beaten path!)
We will make a stop or two on the famous Blue Ridge Parkway. This will give us long range mountain views from 5,000' about sea level! (We will be able to get out of the jeep for photos!)

I can’t wait to go a 3rd time! This time I had a different grandchild (14-yrs) to take on her first ride. We had a blast, sliding down one waterfall, soaking in another waterfall pool, and doing a little nature walking, too. Our Guide Niko knew every plant and tree in the forest as well as the history. We went all the way to the blue ridge parkway, too, for a fabulous view. The Jeep tour is a great way to get an overview of the many great spots, w/o having to deal with searching, parking and figuring it all out. Check in at the tour headquarters was nice too, where you can have a latte in an air conditioned space and use a clean restroom before the journey. Everyone on this tour had a great time!!
