Although Grant our tour guide was excellent I was very disappointed in this tour. We were not warned that due to the 4th of July preparations we could not get close to or even see hardly any of the monuments or the White House. This felt like a big waste of money.
We booked a guided nighttime monument cart tour a couple months ago. It was very disorganized getting people onto carts, then there wasn’t enough. This seems like something that could have been done ahead of time. We had to wait for another cart to get there. Our guide was very sweet, but the mic stopped working. Then the cart was getting hot and barely made it up a small hill. I was pretty disappointed in the tour and would try a different company next time.
Grant our tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating! Great tour and saw a-lot without having to walk so much!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. This was a great way to get an initial overview of the history, monuments, and many historical venues in Washington DC.
The company did not not do a pre-trip check of the route and was not prepared for all the closed roads.
We enjoyed the night tour of the monuments and learning about the different structures around D.C. Would definitely do it again especially at a different time of year when more streets are open and less humid! Very well done with a little stretch of the legs a couple of times!
It is wonderful to hear that you had a great experience overall! A night tour of the D.C. monuments is truly spectacular, and it sounds like the structured stops to stretch your legs were a perfect fit. You hit the nail on the head regarding the timing—visiting during a slightly cooler season like autumn or spring is a completely different (and much less humid!) experience with far fewer road closures. We would love to welcome you back then! Here is a response you can send back to this guest: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the night tour of the monuments and found the structures and history engaging. Capturing D.C. under the lights is truly something special! We completely agree with you on the weather—the D.C. humidity can be intense, and holiday road closures certainly add a challenge to navigating the city. We would absolutely love to welcome you back during the spring or autumn, when the air is crisp, the streets are fully open, and the cherry blossoms or fall foliage are on display. Thank you for the kind words about our tour structure, and we look forward to riding with you again in the future!
This was the worst guided tour ever. It was supposed to be to be two hours long. They started 15 minutes late and then ended the tour less than 1 hour and 15 minutes after it started. That included a 20 minute stop in front of the Whitehouse During the tour the guide was very hard to understand because of his heavy accent and he only commented on 5 items. The real fraud came when we booked a cute little electric cart for the tour. When they showed up they loaded us in an old van that they cut the top off. For over $60.00 per person they should do much better. Stay away from this company, there are plenty to choose from.
Thank you for the additional context regarding the July 4th weekend. While we always anticipate high traffic and extensive security closures around the holiday, that is absolutely no excuse for the poor experience, shortened tour, and vehicle substitution you encountered. If anything, we should be better prepared for the holiday rush. Here is how we are addressing the major issues you raised: The Vehicle Switch: Booking a specialized electric cart and being placed in a modified van without warning is unacceptable. Holiday demand does not justify changing the core experience you paid for. The Cut Time: Even with holiday traffic and security checkpoints, a two-hour tour should never be cut down to an hour and fifteen minutes—especially with a 20-minute stationary stop. The Communication: Our guides must be able to deliver an engaging, clear narrative, even when navigating the chaotic atmosphere of a holiday weekend. Because you did not receive the premium experience you paid for, we want to issue you a full refund. Please contact our management team directly
The tour started late because there were not enough carts. Then our cart guide did not talk much. We would have liked to hear more about the things we were passing by, etc. She was nice but, did not seem to be very knowledgeable. Many streets were blocked but, we passed many parks, statues, and buildings that could have been a focus.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I am very sorry to hear that your tour didn’t live up to your expectations, especially regarding the delay and the depth of the experience. We always aim to provide a seamless and engaging experience, so I sincerely apologize for the shortage of carts that caused your tour to start late. I also completely understand your disappointment regarding the lack of commentary. Our guides should be bringing the history and stories behind every park, statue, and building to life—even when detours happen. I’m glad to hear your guide was nice, but it's clear she missed the opportunity to share the rich details you were hoping to hear. We are taking your comments directly to our operations and training teams to ensure we address our cart availability and better equip our guides to handle route changes with engaging insights. We would love the chance to make this up to you. Please feel free to reach out to us directly
Unfortunately, and not the fault of the tour company, it was very hot, and we were seated in the back of the vehicle, in the sun. We could not hear the driver due to the loud engine right under us. Also, the very loud jets flying overhead. The tour was very limited due to the streets closed for the holiday. We could not see most memorials up close. I wish we would have been told that ahead of time and we would have saved our tour for a later date.
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We're truly sorry that the extreme heat, seating location, and holiday road closures affected your experience. While the weather and street restrictions were beyond our control, we understand how disappointing it is when those factors limit what you were hoping to see and hear. We appreciate you pointing out that better communication about the holiday closures would have helped you make a more informed decision. Your feedback is valuable, and we'll use it to improve how we set expectations for future guests. We hope you'll consider visiting us again under different conditions so we can provide the experience we strive to deliver.
