We were disappointed with...

We were disappointed with this tour. We did request to end our tour at the Lincoln Memorial but we assumed we would see all the sights on the itinerary and end the tour at the Lincoln Memorial. But we only stoped at the Capital and the back of the White House. The tour guide pointed out the US Botanic Garden. We did not get near the Washington Monument, Thomas Jefferson, FDR, Martin Luther King, Chinatown Dept of State, National Law Enforcement Museum or Albert Einstein Memorial. Since the roads were closed around DC the tour should have been canceled. The tour lasted barely an hour. I use Viator every time I travel to different cities and have never been so disappointed with a tour.

Sooooo disappointed

Golf cart seating had no leg room, inconsiderate ticket taker totally ignored the fact that I could not stand or bend my knee with my walking cane and seated us in the most narrow seat on the cart. Our driver spoke broken English, and we could not understand her as she tried to explain the route and a few buildings that she did point out. The route was so abbreviated because of the Fourth of July celebration and she did not know how to avoid the barricades so terminated the trip letting off every Ryder along the way except us who did ride from Georgetown back to 10th St. where we got off all the way back she did not point out anything I think because she wasn’t familiar with the route we certainly expect we should get full reimbursement since it was not worth our time or our money… Very disappointed

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback, Graci. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. We understand your concerns regarding the seating arrangement, accessibility accommodations, communication during the tour, and the impact that the Fourth of July road closures had on the route. We regret that the tour felt abbreviated and that you were disappointed with the overall experience. Your comments are important to us and will be shared with our team as we review both our accessibility practices and operational procedures during special events. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and are sorry for the frustration and inconvenience caused.

Phenomenal tour

I went on the tour with my family on Monday night. There were 6 of us so we had the cart all to ourselves. Our tour guide was beyond amazing! He was very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. The only issue we had was that the equipment to hear him perfectly stopped working but our tour guide was so good that it didn’t take away from the experience. We would most definitely do the tour again and I highly recommend this tour. If you’re on the fence about it, don’t be! It is 110% worth it I promise!!

Operator response

Thank you so much Lois for taking the time to share your experience! We're thrilled to hear your family had such a memorable evening and that having the cart to yourselves made it even more special. It's wonderful to know your guide's friendly personality, humor, and knowledge left such a lasting impression. We also appreciate you mentioning the audio equipment issue, and we're sorry for that inconvenience. We'll be sure to look into it to help ensure an even smoother experience for future guests. Your recommendation truly means the world to us. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your family's trip, and we can't wait to welcome you back for another unforgettable night in Washington, DC!

An almost perfect outing

We had a great trip! Kevin was so knowledgeable & funny. While mechanical problems delayed our start time he never rushed us and got around the street closures for 7/4 easily & showed us things not ordinarily on the route. The beauty of the memorials at night was capped by an amazing harvest moon. Would definitely recommend!

Operator response

Thank you so much Keren for your thoughtful review! We're delighted to hear that Kevin's knowledge, humor, and flexibility helped turn an unexpected delay into a memorable experience. It's wonderful that he was able to navigate the holiday road closures while still showing you some unique sights. And seeing the memorials under the harvest moon truly sounds magical. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable evening in Washington, DC!

Unfulfilled and disappointed

We were excited to take this electric cart tour by Washington DC guided tours. When we arrived, there was a large group waiting. There was a lot of confusion amongst the drivers on who would take groups and how many would fit in the carts. As the waiting group dwindled down, they were frantically trying to figure out how to get the remaining parties in carts. The option they came up with was to pack people in, this was due to either miscounting riders and/or overbooking for the available cars. We volunteered to change our trip to the following evening if we could get a discount. We were told that would work and we would get a call from the company. The company called promptly, but told us that the 8 PM session was already overbooked. They offered various times but we had signed up for-the tour because it was the evening tour. We went back-and-forth being put on hold to see if they could figure out a way to accommodate us. They called back and said they could fit us in, even though we had been told that it was originally overbooked. We were also told that we were not guaranteed a discount for changing our trip like we had originally been told. So we ended up canceling our trip altogether due to the hassle.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry for the confusion and frustration you encountered before the tour even began. That's not the first impression we want any guest to have. The unexpected scheduling issues that evening created a difficult situation, and we understand how disappointing it was to receive conflicting information about availability and the discount you were initially offered. We completely understand why you chose to cancel after everything you experienced. Your feedback is valuable and has been shared with our team so we can improve how we manage guest assignments and communication during busy tours. We appreciate that you gave us the opportunity to make things right, and we're genuinely sorry we fell short. We hope you'll consider giving us another chance in the future so we can provide the smooth, enjoyable experience we strive to deliver.

Some vehicles are not...

Some vehicles are not protected from rain on each side. Take this trip whrn the weather is nice. Thx

Operator response

Thank you Paul for sharing your feedback. We appreciate you pointing this out. While many of our vehicles are equipped with rain covers, some have more open sides, which can make rainy weather less comfortable. We're glad you shared this so future guests know what to expect, and we hope to welcome you back for another ride on a beautiful day!
