Disappointing Tour That Didn't Meet Expectations

We were disappointed with this tour. Due to road closures, we weren't able to visit any of the DC monuments, which was one of the main reasons we booked it. It was also extremely hot. We were seated in the very back of the vehicle, facing backward, so we couldn't see the landmarks the driver was describing, which made it difficult to follow the tour. I was under the impression that there would be opportunities to get off the vehicle for photos, but that never happened. Instead, we mostly drove along Pennsylvania Avenue and passed the Capitol. The tour was also advertised as lasting two hours, but it ended after about an hour and a half. Overall, it did not meet our expectations and felt like a waste of money.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Hazel. We're truly sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. We understand how disappointing it was to miss the monuments due to road closures, especially when they were a key reason for booking the experience. We also regret that your seating arrangement made it difficult to enjoy the commentary and that the tour duration and photo opportunities did not align with what you expected. While the road restrictions were beyond our control, we understand your frustration and appreciate your honest feedback. Your comments will be shared with our team as we continue working to improve the guest experience and communication during special events.

Nice way to see DC Monuments

A good tour with good information, however, you will not have much time to get out and look around. It is a good way to see where the monuments are located and get back to see them on your own.

Our goal is to provide a great overview of the city and its landmarks, and we're happy to hear it helped you get familiar with the monuments so you can explore them further at your own pace. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again on a future visit! 😊
