We meet at Sigismund’s Column and begin with a special historical introduction. You’ll learn how Warsaw became Poland’s capital and discover the two main storylines that give the city an identity.
This remarkable building is just a short walk from our meeting point. It was here that Poland’s kings ruled and the parliament of the kingdom once convened. We’ll also step into the Royal Gardens, where you can enjoy a beautiful riverside view of the Castle’s main façade.
Most tourists never make it down to the Royal Gardens. They were revitalised in 2020—and honestly, everyone should come here. From here, you can admire the Castle’s main royal façade.
See Warsaw’s beautifully reconstructed UNESCO-listed square with its colourful townhouses, lively cafés, and the iconic Mermaid statue. Learn how the square was rebuilt after WWII and enjoy the atmosphere of one of the city’s most historic and photogenic spots.

Recommend highly. Andrew was a brilliant local guide. Gave us some very helpful tips about where to visit in Warsaw. We saw parts of the city we would never have found. We came away with a much deeper understanding of the local history.

The tour was a lot of fun for the whole family. With a lot of humour and knowledge, Antoni brought us closer to the history of Warsaw. We learned a great deal from the early days of Warsaw as the capital of Poland as well as from the recent history of Poland. Great overview and entry for a visit to Warsaw!
