The War Remnants Museum, the Museum of thematic research, collection , storage, preservation and display of the material, photographs, artifacts on the evidence of the crime and the consequences of the war that the invasion force has caused to Vietnam.Museum store more than 20,000 documents, exhibits and films, in which more than 1,500 documents, artifacts, films have been applied to introduce in eight thematic exhibitions frequently. Cu Chi is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists - the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers.

If you have two hours in front of you do it. This shows the atrocities on both sides and reminds us how inhumane war is. All the “great” of this world should make this visit as well as the Hiroshima Museum.
A poignant visit where the ‘other side ‘ of the war is explained in photos within the museum. You don’t need the audio guide as it’s also in English. Explaining ‘agent orange’ and its lasting effects was quite disturbing but to know the story u have to go. Some great abandoned US equipment on display
... I don't say so, it was called that until 1995. Maybe it was the right name. The one that's gonna fool you. It will be the gory images, some of them truly chilling, or the great weapons that the Vietnamese stole from the Americans, you will be amazed how much in every war and crime are repeated (children killed, women raped, torture, burned houses...) and despite this, we never learn. I will conclude with a concept that actually emerges well. Why are Americans behind almost all wars (even those that make sure they are fought between the same people)? The guide's answer: "their economy is based on war, they need wars to sell weapons." Sad, but true
A powerful reminder of the Vietnam war well preserved equipment and good display’s easily accessible just near independence palace we just went up to the electronic ticket machine and payed by card very easy and avoided queue
Absolutely fascinating and very upsetting too. Although I had read about the war and watched many films seeing it first hand made it so real. Parts of it were very shocking and upsetting but we need to know what really went on. Definitely worth a visit.
Lots of great US military hardware, interesting to see it from the other perspective, i’ve run quite a bit about the Vietnam more, but always from the US perspective
A great experience to see both the war remnants museum and the cu chi tunnels. Really good displays with lots of things to learn! The only downside to these exhibits is that they deliberately only tell the story of the north-vietnamese or “patriots” as they call them. The museums show nothing of the suffering of the south. Also the war remnants museum pretty much only shows american-equipment and weapons.
Although you see the brutal reality of the war, it’s very informative and a must visit to properly understand the history of Vietnam. It’s very difficult to look at some of the images but equally very important. It really shows how amazingly Vietnam has recovered.

An extremely moving and exciting museum, which provides a better understanding of Vietnamese history and the human impact of war. The exhibitions are strong, sometimes difficult, but very well presented and necessary. An intense, informative and unmissable visit
