Description
Often people are in Salerno because it's a strategic point for visiting the Amalfi Coast, Pompei, Paestum etc. but Salerno is much more: it's a city full of history, art and traditions. Join this walking tour to discover the city's beauties with a local. I will show you the most touristic places of the city but also those less known that only with a local you can discover! This walk is easy and fun, we will start from the origins of the city, passing through the historic center where there are traces of the Middle Ages, to the modern part and we will finish where we started.

Alessia was a great tour guide. We learned so much about Salerno that we would have not known without her knowledge. The church was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. 100% recommended if you are in Salerno.
Alessia was a true joy to have as an expert in local Salerno history. She was also very personable and made a great connection with our group who included family and 2 others from our cruise ship.

An amazing experience from a local history major. So worth exploring the old town into the new and finding hidden history. Our guide, Alessia, was very well spoken. She loved questions both current and historical. Everyone seemed to enjoy her tour. Just a wonderful way to spend a few hours getting insider tips on Salerno. Highly recommend this walking tour. Note, a few steps up into a church but otherwise the typical incline of streets. Beware of local drivers, they seem out to take out pedestrians.

This was a fantiastic introduction to Salerno! Not all tourist sites recommend visiting Salerno, and after this tour, I think skipping it is a mistake. Alessia is an energetic, engaging, informative, and knowledgeable guide who really brought Salerno to life for me. She spent more time with us than was promised, sharing info about history, architecture, and religion. At the end of the tour, she helped the group find restaurants and other sites of interest. I highly recommend this tour!
So much fun visiting Salerno and Alesia, our guide communicated with me immediately upon receiving my reservation. She was fantastic! She was informative and took us to many interesting spots we would not have gone on our own. Such a great way to spend the evening and get to know the history of this beautiful city of Salerno.
Ali provided a great overview of the city in its history. We were so impressed with the Saint Matthews Cathedral‘s in the details she shared withus and the things she pointed out. She also gave us some great tips for places to eat.
