We did a walking tour of Skopje with Aleksandar today. It was an amazing experience. He is extremely knowledgeable, funny and approachable. The tour covers multiple areas of the city and includes lots of interesting information straight from a local. I would recommend everyone visiting Skopje to take this tour!
Extremely enjoyed this walking tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this city and it is well worth your time.
Aleksandar was great and the tour was very interesting. I fully recommend it
Excellent walking tour in Skopje (2 hours +) with Alexander. He is an independent guide which means that he talks freely, with lots of wit and sarcasm, and gives information that others might not divulge. He knew a lot about Macedonia/Yougoslavia, past and present. He gave us honest facts and opinions about the present, past and eventually positive future of Skopje and Macedonia. Perfect English.
It was a very enjoyable and fun experience. Our tour guide was very professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and explained everything in an engaging and interesting way. You can really tell how passionate they are about the history and culture. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Skopje!
Aleksandar is an absolutely extraordinary guide and storyteller. His knowledge is truly encyclopedic, and at times it feels as if he speaks all languages at once, effortlessly connecting history, culture, politics, and everyday life into one fascinating narrative. What I appreciated most was his honesty. He never tries to idealize or embellish reality. Instead, he helps you understand what Skopje in particular and North Macedonia in general are really like today - its history, its challenges, and what matters most to its people. Unfortunately, I missed the regular 4:30 p.m. tour because my flight was delayed. Despite this, Alexander very kindly rearranged his schedule and organized a private evening tour for me. Beyond the thought provoking insights, this evening reminded me how important it is to preserve friendship, mutual understanding, and the bonds between Slavic countries and Slavic peoples, to remember our special connection through soul (Dusha). Thank you, Aleksandar, for making my first evening in Skopje so memorable. I wish you many curious and appreciative travelers, and I sincerely wish North Macedonia peace, prosperity, and the recognition it truly deserves.
We enjoyed the great knowledge of Aleksandar and we liked the tour. He took care of us and told us a lot about Skopje, history of Macedonia. Big recommendation!!
Aleksandar is a wonderful guide with lots of current and historical information that provides you with an understanding of the country, in addition to identifying the key sites in the city and beyond that are worth visiting. We enjoyed the entire time and he is well known and liked by many passers by, shop keepers and the resident dog population. Highly recommend!

Aleksandar arrived puntually, told us the stories behind Skopje's most iconic sites in a funny and entertaining way; we had an interesting tour experience of the city, he was patient and always smiling as he explained the unique characteristics of Balkan culture to us. Highly recommended!!
