The boat had big windows all around the seated undercover area, giving a great view on all sides. There was also an upstairs open-air area but there was a cold wind so we didn't stay long. The downstairs area had tables and a small food and drink service area. There were announcements in German and English, about what you could see on either bank. We did not go up to Walhalla as it has many stairs and no rails to help.
Great beginning from the booking, the whole arrangment and the Site of Walhalla ist outstanding.
Beautiful river cruise, but one cannot understand anything from the announcements (explanations).
The departure times did not indicate that an ascent to Valhalla was not possible. This should have been better signposted.
What an amazing experience! My wife and I just wanted to do something to be on the Danube for a couple of hours, so we selected this tour. It turned out to be a luxury cruise with fantastic food, drinks and service! The boat was very nice, everything looked new, with comfortable furniture and very stylish decor, including crystal chandeliers! The views up and down the Danube were incredible, and to explore Walhalla was an added bonus! We will definitely do this tour again with friends the next time we visit and highly recommend this to everyone!
It was fantastic clean boat comfortable very good walk. I recommend even in winter it does well because they have good heating.
I took the boat to Wahalla and spent some time wandering around, but when I returned, the ship was no longer there. I was at the dock when the boat was scheduled to appear. But no boat. I had to call an Uber to take me to my hotel, which cost significantly more than the initial boat ride.
I would recommend a 45-minute boat trip one way rather than going to Valhalla directly by car. However, I was surprised to see so many local customers using it in unexpected ways. The way we used it was that the return boat arrived 15 minutes late and we thought we could finally sit down, but most of the passengers who came from the departure point didn't get off and didn't look at Valhalla and just went back. On the way home, there were so many people who couldn't sit. I thought it was a complete transfer, so I thought it would be better to let people know that there is no guarantee that a seat will be secured.
Nice boat tour. On the way there are lots of interesting drinks and food on offer, even fine ice cream or iced coffee / ice chocolate - highly recommended! Walking up to the Valhalla, you have to be reasonably fit. The climb is very worthwhile.
Schiff was on time. Nice clean ship. Walk to Valhalla from the jetty about 20 minutes. Service offers on the ship not taken up.
