Great Tour on the Waccamaw River

My husband and I had a great time. It was truly a unique experience. There were about 40 of us on the pontoon boat which was very nice and clean. Everyone who ran the event was super friendly, informative and fun. The boat tour took about 1.5 hours. They didn't advertise that there was a bathroom on the boat but that was super, for us old folks. We really enjoyed it and will take our grandkids next summer when we go back to Myrtle on vacation. :)

Great Tour!

Had a wonderful experience with the River Tour. Our tour guide Agnes was great! She gave lots of interesting information about the river, the wildlife, and the history of the area. The osprey that we saw were beautiful! Would recommend the tour to other family and friends!

Fun, informative river ride, relaxing break from the beach crowds

We stay in North Myrtle, and it was a 30-40 minute drive. Just a heads-up so you're on time... it's absolutely worth the drive. Captain Sid is a very knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humor. We saw several adult ospreys, young ospreys, their nests, and a variety of other water fowl. We even saw an alligator, which was rare given how hot it was. It was a great way to learn about the history and nature of the area (and take a break from the bustling beach crowd). We didn't see anyone mention the heat in other reviews. It was not bad at all with the pontoon being covered (even at 85 degrees). Then, when we were moving the breeze felt amazing.

Great family owned...

Great family owned business that survived hurricanes and Covid Shutdown! Check it out, fun, informative and you may see alligators! We saw 2 break the surface! Water looks black but is known as sweet tea! Find out why!

Highly recommend

Great guide, caring staff, their passion for wildlife and the preservation thereof is inspiring. Surprisingly thanks to the tannic acid in the river there are no bugs.

A surprisingly great experience!

This tour really surprised us. We are frequent Viator users, but weren't sure about this one. But once we got on board the boat, we fell in love with Agnes, the guide, and had a marvelous time! We saw gators, hero, turtles, and osprey! Highly recommended!

Highly recommend!

Loved this tour! Agnes was an expert tour guide, knowledgeable and entertaining. Absolutely worth the price of admission. Highly recommend. Get out of the city for a bit and see nature and learn something new from someone who is passionate about the subject. Support family businesses! We will likely take this tour again when we return to Myrtle Beach.
