Lake Yamanakako is the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes in Japan, nestled at the base of Mount Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture. Unlike its deeper counterparts, Yamanakako is relatively shallow, with an average depth of just 14 meters, making it more susceptible to freezing over in the winter. The lake is a popular destination throughout the year, offering a myriad of activities and breathtaking scenery. In spring, cherry blossoms frame the lake, providing a stunning contrast with the lingering snow on Mount Fuji. Summers are vibrant with visitors enjoying boating, fishing, windsurfing, and cycling along the picturesque lakeside paths. The autumn foliage paints the surrounding hillsides in brilliant reds and golds, reflecting beautifully on the tranquil water. Lake Ashinoko, often referred to as Lake Hakone, is a scenic lake in the Hakone area of Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Formed in the caldera of Mount Hakone after its last eruption nearly 3,000 years ago, it is renowned for its stunning views of Mount Fuji, especially on clear days. The lake is a central feature of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. One of the most iconic attractions on Lake Ashinoko is the Hakone Shrine (Hakone Jinja), particularly its torii gate majestically standing in the water.

Hakone Shrine, known as Hakone Gongen, is a historic Shinto shrine nestled at the foot of Mount Hakone along the shores of Lake Ashinoko in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Founded in 757 by the monk Mangan, it has a rich history deeply intertwined with samurai culture and played a significant role as a spiritual retreat and a place of prayer for warriors and travelers navigating the treacherous Hakone Pass. The shrine complex is shrouded in a serene forest, creating a mystical atmosphere. Its main buildings, including the Honden (main hall) and Haiden (worship hall), are beautifully constructed in traditional Japanese architectural styles, blending harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Visitors approach the shrine via a moss-covered stone staircase, passing through several torii gates, the most famous of which is the "Gate of Peace" (Heiwa no Torii) that stands strikingly in Lake Ashinoko itself, offering an iconic photo opportunity with Mount Fuji in the background on clear days.

30 min

Owakudani Valley, often translated as the "Great Boiling Valley," is a volcanic valley with active sulfur vents and hot springs, located in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was formed around 3,000 years ago during the last eruption of Mount Hakone. Today, it remains an active volcanic zone, offering visitors a unique and somewhat otherworldly experience. As you approach Owakudani, the air becomes thick with the distinct smell of sulfur, and plumes of steam billow from numerous vents across the rugged landscape. The sight is both dramatic and a little eerie, showcasing the raw power of the earth. Wooden boardwalks guide visitors safely through parts of the valley, allowing for up-close views of the bubbling hot springs and steaming fissures.

120 min

Comfortable, family friendly, Mt Fuji trip!!!

We went for a day trip from Tokyo to Mt Fuji. Fortunately it was a beautiful day and full visibility of Mt Fuji. Our tour guide Harsh was very helpful and flexible in taking us to places we wanted to visit and also accomodating the time spent at few spots. Since it was extremely busy it was really helpful to have a private tour experience and not to deal with train, taxi, parking etc. It was very convenient to have a spacious and comfortable van just for our family.

Rana was an incredible guide for our Mt. Fuji tour. He was patient, kind, and always made sure we felt comfortable throughout the day. His knowledge of the area was impressive, and he took us to special hidden spots that offered the most breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji. At Hakone he made us ride special samurai theme ship we enjoyed a lot with him. Thanks to him, we got to see the mountain from angles most visitors would never find on their own. He truly went above and beyond— Rana is not only a fantastic guide but also someone who made our experience unforgettable.
