Itinerary
8:30: Your Japanese guide will pick you up from your hotel. It takes about 2 and a half hours from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay by highway. We will take a 10 minute break at SA on the way.
12:00: Arrival at Halong Bay. After a seafood lunch onboard your cruise, explore by sea kayak or rowboat, then tour Sung Sot Cave and climb the approximately 420 steps to the Ti Top Island viewing platform for panoramic views of Halong Bay. .
17:00: Sunset tea on deck (red wine, fruit, sweets)
18:00 Cruise ends. Return to Hanoi with your Japanese guide. The journey takes approximately 2 and a half hours using the expressway.
19:20: Dinner of pho with beef or pho with chicken at a restaurant at SA on the way *Image is for illustrative purposes only. Arrival time is approximate.
20:30: Arrive in Hanoi *Times are approximate. [Customers heading straight to the airport after the tour] If you are flying late at night on the same day, please check out of the hotel and join the tour with your luggage in hand. On the way back to the hotel, it will be a long way to the airport, so get off at AEON MALL Long Biên between 20:00 and 20:15 on the way, and take a taxi from there to the airport, which will take about 30 minutes. Close to the airport, you can shop at the AEON MALL Long Biên supermarket and have dinner. *Please note that arrival time may vary depending on traffic conditions on the day.

The tour lasts about 12 hours from morning to night. It was a satisfying day. There was very little stress because we got a lot of support all the way through the tour. It was especially nice to have a limousine bus for the round trip. Some cruise ship stops required physical strength. Drinks (including alcohol) were sold on board, which was a great help because it was hot. Credit cards not accepted, cash only. The guides are all very enthusiastic and service-minded. It was a fun day to remember.
It was a much better tour than I could have imagined. Ha Long Bay was calm and unlike anything I had seen before. The Japanese-only boat was also luxurious and reserved, and the lunch (seafood) on board was delicious. Mr. Kueng, our guide, was very good at Japanese and his speaking skills, with idioms and puns, were impressive. And he cared about me in various ways to bring back good memories from Vietnam. It was almost a full day tour from the hotel pick-up (around 8 o'clock), but it was quite a day full of content. I'm very satisfied. I think this fee is cheap. I also left my belongings on the bus, but they were delivered to my hotel the next morning. I think it was quite annoying because it was a long holiday, but they were quick to respond. It is a company that shows a willingness to take care of its customers.
Trip day: August 12, 2025. Bus: five star. Well air conditioned and safe driving. Boat: safe. Weak air conditioner. Limited shade on deck. Bathroom on board. Meal: fair. Drink payable separately - USD1 per bottle water. Tourist spot: ultra congested. Recommend off-season visit. Guide: local Vietnamese speaking smooth Japanese. Overall safety & security: excellent. Suggestion: don't feel obliged trying all activities. There is a choice to skip activity and relax on the boat, especially when you are traveling with baby and elderly.
