I'm formerly of Devon in the United Kingdom but now live in Chinon. I've always cycled and loved my bike, and for the best part of my adult life, always loved wine... this is me! With my family, I now find ourselves living amongst vineyards, with wine producers creating something very special on our doorstep. Chinon wine is recognised as being very special across France, yet throughout the rest of the world it's lesser known and we're keen to spread the word about the local wine through vineyard tours! We spent years and years holidaying in France before moving here, never quite summoning up the courage to head in through the big barn doors of a wine producer, but now we've started we can't stop! This type of visit is so important to many independent producers, and we're now keen to share this experience with you. First and foremost our vineyard tours by bike are designed to be a fun experience, for you, family and friends to make the most of your time in the Chinon area.

- This tour is only available to those over 16 years- we have in the past accommodated family bookings with children, however the truth is, children get hot, tired and aren't interested in wine! Sorry...

Our bike tour and winery visits with Quintin made for a perfect day in Chinon. The bikes offered a fun and easy way to navigate this beautiful town. Prior to our visit, Quintin communicated frequently, thoughtfully, and clearly via text. Upon arrival, he met us with a warm and friendly welcome; offered some basic bike instructions (helpful for the two non-bikers in our group); and reviewed how our ride would unfold. Very knowledgeable about the area, its rich history, and the winemaking, Quintin was an entertaining and interesting guide. He came prepared with a tasty lunch that took into consideration dietary requests. We visited two organic wineries, enjoying warm welcomes, full tours, wonderful tastings, and water refills (it was a hot day) at both. Quintin captured fun photos of our group in action, which was very thoughtful. We highly recommend this tour.
Amazing experience, Quintin was a great quide who knows the area and made the day interesting and relaxing for us. Definitely a must do in Chinon!
Quintin was wonderful. He lives in the area, is very familiar with the local winemakers, and he personalizes the tour to each group. We had some non-bikers in our bunch, and the riding was easy, the views were spectacular, the wine and lunch were delicious, the conversation excellent… I loved every moment of the trip! If you’re looking at this tour, take it. Would highly recommend to everyone!

We loved Quintin and we loved this tour! Quintin was extremely kind, had a great sense of humor, and was passionate about the city of Chinon and the people, wine, and culture there! Riding bikes through the countryside, its vineyards and beauty, and drinking wine and hearing more about how it is grown and produced, was a magical way to spend a day in Chinon! We highly recommend this tour!

Neil made this tour an amazing experience. We visited 3 wineries, tasted about 20 wines and learned a lot about wine making as well as the history of the region. Biking through the beautiful French countryside is an experience in itself. Highly recommend this tour.
My friends and I had a fantastic time biking through gorgeous scenery, learning about the local wines and enjoying a delicious picnic lunch. The knowledgeable and friendly guide expertly tailored the experience to our desires. I would highly recommend this tour!
We had an absolutely fantastic tour today! Quentin was great about responding to messages and getting us scheduled for a tour, and was very accommodating of the individual needs of our group. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, very fun, and put a lot of effort into showing us a great time. The tour was well organized and included a very scenic bike route, a substantial and tasty picnic (including wine!) , and a tasting experience that we would never have been able to get on our own. We got to visit some very diverse vineyards and learn a lot about the local varieties. We definitely appreciated the small group size and the attention given to making sure we all had an enjoyable experience and walked away very happy! We definitely got our money's worth and would book again, 100%. If you're travelling through the Chinon area, drop Quentin a message and get yourself set up for a great day!

Pedagogy and advice. We rented bikes in impeccable condition or even new!! Very attractive prices. Great listening from the head of the shop to advise with passion. All bikes can be rented which suits me perfectly to make an electric bike purchase that I will definitely come back to vichy at cycles et cie!! Very important choice of models and brands assembled in France!! This adds to the choice of this shop!!
