Our guide, Paul, was super informative and when our subway was delayed by 20 mins he let us know where to meet him so that we could still join the tour! Great experience
I left the group after about 20 minutes because I could not hear the guide. I only was able to pick up partial descriptions. But, I have had a hearing loss recently, so that may have been part of the problem.
This was an awesome tour! We covered a ton of ground in the old city, learned a lot of interesting history, and saw things that there’s no way we would have found ourselves- like the passages. The guide was extremely well-informed and organized and even offered a little printout of some of his recommended places at the end. We went to a few of them during the rest of our trip and they were very nice. I’d highly recommend this trip for seeing a lot of the old city in just half a day. We were hoping to do his other out as well, after we liked this one so much but the timing didn’t work out.
we had a great guide. This tour was really interesting. information was given in a relaxed friendly way making the history interesting, not stuffy boring . We learnt a lot and would definately do a trip again.
A perfect way to start a visit to Lyon. Paul knows Lyon and its history—and clearly loves the city. He’s a pleasure to listen to, and we appreciated his subtle sense of humor. He leads the group in a friendly, respectful, yet focused manner, drawing on his extensive knowledge of the city.
Paul is a friendly guide who knows a lot about the details of the city's history and linguistic peculiarities - even though he is not a native. The tour gave us a very good overview. The visits to the courtyards and the connections were particularly interesting.
The walking tour was informative, well paced, and very well chosen. The tips for navigating the city's traboules were especially useful/unexpected. I highly recommend this as one of the first things you do on your trip.
