Our restaurant has been an institution since 2004, with locations in Cat Ba, Hanoi and Hoian. Head Chef Hai Nguyen is renowned throughout Vietnam for his creative and modern approach to traditional dishes. At our cooking school, students learn from the best; not just traditional recipes, but also tips and tricks for preparing food in your home kitchen. All of this in our heritage-listed building in the heart of the ancient town!

A knowledgeable teacher with very good English, thorough explanations of the food, how to replicate it at home and why we were doing each step. Easy to book and the staff were all so friendly - including in the restaurant where we ate our delicious food after the class. Well laid out class - flowed between 5 different dishes very well, including marinading, having a snack during the class. The only downside was the heat - we were there in the middle of the day in peak summer, and it was quite warm! We were able to rest and sit, but I'd recommend going earlier in the day - I'm sure it's fine not in June 😅

Fantastic experience from start to end. Our chef teacher explained us the different methods and taught us how to prepare various types of traditional Vietnamese food. Would highly recommend. The market visit was also informative because we learner how various herbs are harvested and prepared. They also adjusted our menu to cater for vegetarian diet.
Best cooking class ever! 100% recommend it
Cook Hai took us fiendly with a lot of humor through the class. Very clean kitchenette, all utensils use according to the hygiëne rules and it was so much fun to cook your meal. It was beautifully served in the restaurant afternoon cooking and was delicious. We got the recipes directly over the mail (and are widely spread already). Very fiendly staff, lovely restaurant, and a wonderful experience for us.
Highly recommended! Thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Pinky. She was just great, very patient with two amateur cooks! The lunch we produced was so delicious. We impressed ourselves!!

Our experience tonight with the Green Mango cooking class was absolutely superb! When we came to Vietnam to visit, one of the things we wanted to do was learn some Vietnamese cooking methods. So our hopes were high when our tour guide brought us to Green Mango. The restaurant has a very traditional carved wooden interior as well appointed the washrooms are nice and clean. The staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable from the start. The experience really took off when our chef, Jam took us under her wing and taught us five traditional Vietnamese dishes. She explained everything so clearly in flawless English, demonstrating as she went and having us practice. She explained all the Vietnamese herbs and how they work in each of the dishes. It really was a true cooking class and culinary experience. The best part was that our food came out great, especially the deep-fried pork spring rolls - so delicious! And when all was said and done, Jam sent us all the recipes and all the tips she had given us so we could do it at home. I can’t say how wonderful it was. There are no words to describe the enjoyment and the satisfaction that we experienced.
What a great night event. We mostly did as we were instructed and made a fabulous meal. Food hygiene was excellent and the recipes we have learnt have come home for friends and family. Fun night and a great meal to finish the experience.
