07:30 – Pick up in Hue Your driver and guide meet you at the hotel. Begin the journey along Highway 1 toward Quang Tri Province, once the heart of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
09:00 – Visit Quang Tri Citadel After 1.5 hour driver from Hue city to Quang trị Citadel Explore the historic citadel, heavily bombarded during the war, now a memorial to those who sacrificed their lives in 1972.
09:45 – Stop at Long Hung Church Visit the ruins of this Catholic church, preserved as a symbol of resilience and a reminder of the fierce battles fought in the region.
10:30 – Hien Luong Bridge & Ben Hai River See the symbolic 17th Parallel, where Vietnam was once divided into North and South. Walk across the Hien Luong Bridge and explore monuments that mark this historic boundary.
11:30 – Explore Vinh Moc Tunnels Discover the incredible underground tunnels where local families lived, worked, and survived relentless bombings. Learn how villagers created a safe community beneath the earth with kitchens, clinics, and meeting halls.

We had an excellent experience with our private driver to the Vinh Moc Tunnels. He was polite, punctual, and drove very safely throughout the day. His knowledge of the area and clear pride in his city made the journey engaging, and we appreciated that there was never any time pressure. Although we didn’t want a formal tour guide, it was a real bonus to have an English‑speaking driver who chatted with us along the way and shared insights. A comfortable, relaxed, and memorable trip — highly recommended.
It was a very interesting tour of the DMZ and the tunnels that protected the people from the bombs--as well as aided the north to send weapons to the south. Sobering and informative. The guide and driver were great

Me and my fiends took a half day trip from Hue to the DMZ zone. Our guide Chuong explained a lots of important information and details about the Vietnam war. We visited some clue places such as Hien Luong Bridge, the History Museum and the Vinh Moc Tunnels. The tour was very interesting, we really enjoyed it and would highly recommend taking this tour from Hue.
