Pha That Luang, the most important national monument in Laos and a symbol of both the Buddhist religion and Laos sovereignty
Wat Si Saket, the oldest temple that survived the Siamese war of 1828. Inside, you'll see more than 8000 Buddha statues lining the walls
Wat Ho Phra Keo, a religious museum that displays a collection of both Lao and Khmer works of art
The COPE Visitor Centre in Vientiane is not a typical tourist attraction, but we still highly recommend a visit. Since its establishment in 1996, COPE provides nationwide physical rehabilitation services for people with mobility-related disabilities. Among those people, there are also UXO survivors. The term refers to people who became victims of unexploded ordnance like landmines. In most cases, they don’t have the money for prosthetic or orthotic services. COPE provides those services free of charge, allowing victims to regain mobility and live a better life.
Buddha Park, famous for being home to more than 200 religious statues, including a huge 40-meter Reclining Buddha image.

When it comes to one of the best tours of all time, The Best Lao Company can drop the mic! What more can I say about Thip? Thip was absolutely amazing! Thip was so knowledgeable and very patient! Hands down, Thip was the best part of my Lao excursion! If you are going to Lao and do not book The Best Lao Company, you are doing yourself a disservice! I would rate this tour 1,000,000 out of 10 and Thip is very special!

You need local cash to enter, 60000 Kip / adult. It was disappointing, not worth the trip or the price. We were there about 30 to 40 minutes. It’s quite run down. There’s hardly any signage & we couldn’t find any maps. So we didn’t know the story behind any of the statues. The atmosphere was a bit creepy. Despite being a public holiday, I saw only 2 other small families there.

Buddha Park was an experience. My guide used to be a monk himself and was able to tell me a lot about the story

The tour was interesting and well executed. Nice reception by guide o driver but better English skills would have been good. The guide was well read about the things they would show in English but could not answer questions in English outside of this.

The tour ticked all the box’s. We went and visited everything that we both wanted to see. The private car and personal tour was everything and more! The lunch was average, but thankfully we didn’t really care about the food… today was all about the amazing places and learning about Laos history and culture. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and took so many pictures on our behalf (Another nice touch) It was all curated at a leisurely pace and so it couldn’t have gone much better tbh. Thank you Vathsana for a tour. And helping us create great memories of our time in Vientiane.

This speaks good English, is knowledgeable and has a fun personality. She and her driver planned the day-long trip well in consideration of weather and traffic. Had an authentic lunch at a local restaurant.

Expensive for what you get. Could actually walk to most of it yourself except (Buddha Park -would need transport to reach) Guide & driver friendly. Unfortunately, the COPE stop was omitted which we were looking forward to learning about.

The tour was really well organized! Our guide Thip got in touch the night before which made me feel confident about the plans. Thip and our driver Nit were on time and gave us warm greetings. The day was very relaxed and we did not feel rushed, but we covered all the activities. They took us to a really nice lunch. We had a great time and felt like VIPs!
