Victoria Harbour is a natural landform harbour separating Hong Kong Island in the south from the mainland to the north. The harbour's deep, sheltered waters and strategic location on the South China Sea were instrumental in Hong Kong's establishment as a British colony and its subsequent development as a trading centre.

Good lights Bad guests

The only problem was it was short and there were loud and rowdy drunks that should have been taken care of by the staff, as it ruined the experience for guests. Otherwise the lights were fantastic!

Can’t see shore from inside boat

The guide on the boat was explaining stealing the shore while we were seated. Couldn’t see out the windows as either covered by a shutter or steamed up so could not see what she was talking about. Turn down the heat inside the boat. Food was great. You cooked it yourself on little individual stoves. Now soft drinks included but self serve. So you are seated on a mat with your legs under the floor table. Inconvenient to get up to get a soft drink especially while cooking. We did, and also grabbed drinks for many seniors that were on our boat as they couldn’t get out of their seat without help. If you ordered alcohol the staff was eager to serve as you paid. We got then 15 minutes at the harbour to go outside the boat to take pictures. Some of us were not done eating as so quick. Views were nice outside for photos. Ride back was with entertainment. Folk singer. Different than what we expected..

Lovely Evening

Michelle the photographer/tour informant was great. Lots of beautiful pictures of my husband and myself. She took time to explain the different areas around Victoria Bay.

You get to see all the...

You get to see all the lights on the buildings around the harbor but that is the light show. No fireworks or lazer show over the harbor. If your hotel has a view of the harbor it is a waste of time, unless

Beautiful City Light Show for our 1st Night in Hong Kong.

It’s a bit crazy to find the correct dock location you need to be at. The boat was nice and we could see the wonderful lights of Hong Kong. They did take some nice free photos of us with the city lights in the background. Lots of free drinks and treats. It was a great introduction to the city.

Poor pick up point signs at pier

We have always used Viator for all day excursions whilst travelling around. However, today has been our worst experience. We are in Hong Kong and booked what we thought would be a wonderful evening Harbour cruise with Viator called Victoria Harbour cruise company Dreamer. As always we had promptly arrived at our destination pier 9 at 18.36 one hour before our scheduled time. We stood watching many boats picking up people but we could not see any clear signs for the cruise pick up point at the pier or in-fact anybody looking for us to board a boat. At around 19.40 hrs 5 minutes after our scheduled departure time we did eventually spot a young lady with a hoody covering up a dreamer cruise logo on her jacket. We asked her where our cruise point was at which she replied your cruise ship has just gone. Whilst she did try to offer us a later trip that evening we were unable to make this time as we had a whole days trip planned for the morning with Viator. Now awaiting refund. Recommendation is for this company to clearly display their service pick up point at pier 9 as other companies have and for staff to be more visible.

Terrible harbour cruise

This is the worst value for money cruise tour available! I am in the process of asking for my money to be refunded. The boat was dirty, we we herded to the top deck as the covered middle deck was unavailable due to the dozens of boxes of beverages stacked in the area which resulted in not enough seating for all the passengers. On boarding the boat we were offered soft drinks and cans of beer from cooler boxes. Beer was the only alcohol offered although this was not what we were led to believe was to be included. We were also offered a half bowl of cheap rice crackers which were limited to one bowl to be shared per table which clearly was not sufficient. We cruised for 10 minutes then remained stationary for 20 minutes in front of a Ferris wheel on hongkong Island. When we approached the captain, who was laying back in his chair with his feet up on the console, asking why we weren't cruising his response was to offer us a beer and advising that the spot was of historic significance and good for photos. It doesn't take 20 minutes to take a photo! Also we were not provided with any audible information of what we we were seeing. The only information given was on how to buy photos of the bay via a qr code. This was a terribly unprofessional and overpriced tour. We could have had the same experience for a 10th of the price on other vessels. I recommend that you do not waste your money on this tour.
