It is self guided once there. We rented a cart for the gardens and got to see lots of things. They are slow moving though. When meeting back for shuttle home we were asked if we would take a taxi back as there was not enough room for everyone on the provided van.
The bus was on time. The guides were friendly. Versailles is wonderful. With our ticket, we had access to the Castle, the gardens, and the Trianons. On the day of our visit, the fountains were operational.
Description and accurately describes twice as much as you can actually see. Impossible to see the grand Palace or petite Palace if you go into the main Versailles building. Theater will not separate the description to guide you. One route versus the other. You’re paying for a fancy bus ride when you can take the metro much cheaper than tour guides are no help. They leave you to your own devices and the facility of Versailles itself has extremely poor directions. Save yourself some money and go another way.
Dear Barbara, We sent you an email with a detailed and clear answer to your review a few days ago. We apologize for any confusion caused and remain at your disposal through mails for any further questions. Kind regards, Magic Ways
Excellent service. From the driver to the staff, everything was on time, organized, friendly and smooth.
Hello dear costumer, we are glad to hear about your positive experience with us. Thank you for the feedback we hope to see you soon :)
Absolute shambles!! All was well before pick up. Got the tickets from the rep and then the bus came. Single seats available only so we sat split up. On the bus, a carryon of sorting tickets for those who had not got them. Off the bus we were instructed to get in a line, ‘a straight line!!’, which disintegrated as we went through bag check. When the line was reforming, other people joined it and they were told to move by the guides. Understandably these people were not going to move to let others in and basically stand behind a bus load of people. Some of us had 11.30 and some had 1.30 entry tickets which was confusing as the guides gave mixed instructions as they hoped to get us all in at 11.30. Ended up walking away in embarrassment! Entered the palace and when finished got an uber back home. Palace and gardens were amazing
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us. First and foremost, we are incredibly sorry for the 'shambles' you experienced during the transit and entry process. That particular day saw an unprecedented number of visitors at the Palace, which unfortunately put a massive strain on our usual logistics. We never want our guests to feel embarrassed or frustrated, and it’s clear that our communication regarding seat availability and entry times fell short of the high standards we set for ourselves. We are currently reviewing our boarding and queuing procedures with our guides and that instructions remain clear, even when the crowds are large.
Architecture like no other. Beautiful architecture and landscape. Decent food options a garden restaurant and cafe.
Hi there, Thank you for your message! We're glad you enjoyed the stunning architecture and landscape — it truly is a special place. Happy to hear you liked the food options too! 😊 — Magic Ways Team
This was a great tour. The meeting spot was easy to find. The staff was very helpful. The audio guide was informative and the palace was mind blowing. My only issue is the time was short return to the bus as I did not get enough time in the gardens as the palace was so big. Maybe closing off at 4:30 p.m. would be better.
Hi Rachel, Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review! We're glad you enjoyed the tour and the beauty of the palace. We understand your point about needing more time for the gardens — it's great feedback, and we’ll definitely take it into account for future improvements. — Magic Ways Team
Poorly organized, no place on the bus home, forced to wait for an Uber. Not sitting with my spouse on the aisle trip. Very expensive for what it was.
Bonjour Camille, Nous sommes désolés pour cette mauvaise expérience. Votre retour est précieux et sera transmis à notre équipe pour améliorer l’organisation et le confort des trajets. — L’équipe Magic Ways
The activity was very good. Small catches: the meeting point given when booking did not correspond to the actual meeting point. Fortunately the guides looked for us. In addition, we were supposed to return to the meeting point on the way back when we were dropped off a kilometer away in an unknown corner. Finally, we would have taken an extra hour to visit the castle and gardens.
The tour ran on time and the bus was clean, the driver was very good. The guides were polite and spoke English and French. The tickets were advertised as "coupe-file", which translates to "skip the line" when in reality they were just tickets for the specific date/time and we still had to wait 45 minutes in line outside (being December, it was quite cold). Other than that, everything was smooth. Not sure it's worth the extra cost just for the transportation.
Hi, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're glad to hear that the tour ran on time, the bus was clean, and that our driver and guides provided polite and bilingual service. 😊 We’re sorry to hear about the misunderstanding regarding the "coupe-file" tickets. While they are designed for timed entry, we understand how frustrating it must have been to wait, especially in the December cold. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll review how we communicate this feature to ensure it aligns better with expectations. We’re happy to know the rest of your experience went smoothly, but we understand your concerns about the value for the extra cost. Thank you again for your honest review—it helps us improve. 🌟 Warm regards, Magic ways.
