Underground Tango Tour and easy Tango class

Description
Instead of booking a way too expensive commercial show, in this tour you'll get to know the real Tango underground world of Buenos Aires! After an (optional) Tango class you will get to know an authentic "Milonga" (=a place where locals dance Tango). We will be "off the beaten track" and I will tell you everything about how to dance Tango, the social codes in the Milongas and how Tango has changed over time (nowadays there is even Queer Tango, electro Tango etc). Your guide is Valerie, an expat from Europe who is an internationally known Tango teacher and Milonga organiser. In the BA Tango scene everybody knows her and she loves to build bridges between travelers and her local Milonguero friends. She is very passionate about Tango and happy to answer all your questions!

Itinerary
I take you to an underground alternative Milonga where I will explain you the Tango codes and differences between the old & young generation of Tango. If we are lucky, there will be live music too. You can dance as well and I can help with that! Please note that entrance fees (about 5 USD per person) are NOT included, but we can also go to a FREE Milonga! The tour can be extended up to 5 hours if you wish!
The tour starts with an 45min class and then we go to an authentic milonga!

So the lesson itself was great and the teacher really knowledgeable, I was able to follow step well and the actual tango when we went I was able to keep up for the most part. She did have me meet at her place for the lesson which I’m not sure about- it felt weird being in someone’s personal space for that. And the “underground” tango was in a park- it was a more local spot than underground I guess.
