We had an amazing day with Ramon visiting Ronda. He picked us up from our hotel in Granada and educated abs entertained us for the whole day. The drive was beautiful, Ronda was amazing and learnings for Ramon were wonderful.
We took the tour of Ronda today. Susana was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable, explaining the history of the city with great detail, and enthusiasm! She took us to the main attractions and gave us time to take pictures with the amazing city views of el Tajo and old bridge. It was very interesting to learn about the bullfighters’ history, the Romantic writers who lived there, the Andalucian patriots, and the mix of religious influences. We definitely understood why Ronda is definitely considered la Ciudad Soñada! Susana was great! Thank you!
At the end of November 2024 my family and I were in Granada and we took a day trip to Ronda with Not Just a Tourist. Our guide Ramon picked us up from our hotel in Granada on-time and drove us to and from Ronda in pristine private van. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him and he personally guided us around the whole city showing and explaining many different historical locations. He also drove us below the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) for an additional photo stop as we were leaving the town. We had a great experience with Ramon and Not Just a Tourist! This was a day-trip we will never forget!
We enjoyed our day with Ramon very much . He is a very careful driver and showed us parts of Ronda that we would have not seen if we have gone on our own. . .
The Bull ring was spectacular, as was the Main Church. The day was slightly marred by heavy showers hail, sleet and wind but Miguel did his best to show me the sights, and threw in a coffee to warm Mr up before we headed back to Granada. Shall return when the weather is more predictable but La Ronda well worth the trip.
The Ronda experience with Miguel is a perfect mix of culture and nature. The ride from Granada to Ronda is a great chance to catch up on Andalusian history and landmarks before exploring Ronda. Even if you are not a bull fight aficionado, the stadium/museum has to be seen to understand the Andalusian spirit. As for the Ronda bridge, pictures do not do it justice. The view from below of the man-made bridge juxtaposed with Mother Nature’s stone carving is as an impressive sight as you will ever see in Spain. So we were very happy to be Not Just a Tourist with Miguel.
Incredible day at Ronda! Our guide was prompt and attentive. He went out of his way to show us special things along the way, tell us about the history, and make sure we got the best photos. A very memorable day.
We were actually the only two people on our tour which was wonderful! Theresa allowed us to decide what we wanted to do with our time. We spent a couple hours in Ronda and had some free time to eat lunch. Since we didn’t want to enter any monuments, it gave us time to explore another beautiful white village, Setenil de las bodegas. We actually enjoyed this one and if you have the chance, you need to check it out. This is a great tour if you want to go off the grid from Granada! Definitely a highlight of our trip… thank you, Theresa!
The reason we did a private tour was that in every tourist guide they indicate that Ronda is a very special city but they don't have such big monuments or palaces as Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada. So it was important to go in a small tour with no agenda so we could grasp the essence of the city plus it was added a visit to another town Setenil de las Bodegas, which is amazing the way that the houses of the town are built using the original caves of the area. We spent a nice day just going around those two cities.
An excellent day trip to Ronda, two White Villages, and an olive oil mill from the 1700s. Abby was a fabulous guide and Juanlu was a great driver.
